I don't think the move has anything to do with Dennard.

Just speculation with no supporting facts on my part, but my guess is that Cole was injured and Davis was brought on to replace him for special teams duty. The team feels confident that Cole will be ready to go next week, so they cut Davis and brought Cole back.

Cole had a hammy problem and was replaced for a week by Davis.

Now, one of our top special teamers is back.

There is no reason to be confused. We should just be glad that he is no healthy.
