Good thing the team is $10 million under the cap. It's not like they needed anything.
While it's totally conceivable that the young, inexperienced rookie receivers will improve as the season rolls along, what makes people so confident that Edleman, Amendola, and Gronk will be healthy when, or better yet if, that happens? All 3 have a very bad history of getting hurt. I don't want to whiz on the parade of optimism in here, but the Patriots absolutely have to get a competent veteran of some kind in here. They should have signed someone like that in the offseason. Depending on rookies, and fragile slot receivers, when you're #1 weapon has had 5 surgeries in recent years, was foolish imo. Especially when you have the cap space to have done something. Here's hoping the skill guys can stay healthy when it matters.
