Jets get another gift win. (I mean, in a freaking gold wrapped package) OK, I was pissed for a sec (and I'm still too wrung out from our seat squirmer) but let 'em get their heads bloated with false bravado...from Rex all on down to their fans. They'll win just enough to lose out on the Clowney chase but will still provide plenty of suckitude to make the season memorable, don't worry.

But the **** luck they have sometimes... :bricks:

I am sure the Jets have won some gift games, like all teams. But to call them lucky? The Sad Sack Jets always get the lucky breaks?

That's like saying Charlie Brown always had a lot of luck kicking that ball Lucy was holding.

Packers (+4.5) at Niners (-4.5)

I really wanted to bet this one Niners but personal rule is to never bet against an elite QB. Too much of a chance of the QB going berserk and ruining everything.

The penalty was on a guy who our Draftniks loved; and criticized BB for not drafting.

Kaep is overrated and elevated by a loaded team/good coaching, but the offense is good.

Box Score Surprises Week 1

I was just looking through some box scores from games this week and a couple things jumped out at me:

Miami Dolphins - 23 rushing attempts - 20 yards - .9 yds/carry

Cleveland Browns - 1 of 14 on third down 7%

Patriots - Ran 89 offensive plays vs 61 for the uptempo Bills

There were 21 punts in the Chiefs -Jags game

Every one of the 14 kick offs in the Broncos Ravens game was a touchback.

I know stats are for losers but that doesn't mean they aren't sometimes interesting.

Yeah, the Steelers are toast.

I'm really impressed by the physicality of the Packers on both sides of the ball. It looks like the rookies, Datone Jones and Eddie Lacy are paying huge dividends early.

Edit: And right on cue Lacy fumbles.

Didn't Bedard project them to be really good this year?

But yeah, their OL is going to struggle again all season long.

Every time they show Sanchez giving Smith advice on the sideline, I feel like they should also show someone coming up afterward and saying "Everything that guy said, do the opposite."

Starting with that goddamn hairband.

The Packers vs 49ers, very physical and chippy. Has the feel of a playoff game.
