Amendola Iffy for Thursday

Haven't delved into the Welker threads recently.... won't worry about an Amendola injury thread until the games mean something.

Hope we see lots of Boyce in the slot.

in the preseason your iffy to play if you got a runny nose

I always chuckle at people who object at or lose all sensibility when a player sits out of a PRESEASON game, due to injury or otherwise.

These games are meaningless, yet injuries happen because it's football. If a guy who has had some unlucky breaks in the past has something nagging him for the time, why force him to tough it out in a meaningless game?

Amendola was inactive for a few games in his first year, and then dislocated his elbow 2 years ago when he hit the ground, and last year suffered a broken collar bone that could have KILLED him. If that's injury prone, then you may as well call out every player who has torn their ACL this year and label them as injury prone and unreliable. Brady? Injury prone, torn acl and busted his knee in practice. Gronk? Injury prone. Ridley? Injury prone. Vereen? Vince? It goes on and on.

Until Amendola starts missing regular season games in regular fashion, I'm not worried at all.

Like your new avatar MUCH better! I have to confess, when I first saw your pic, I thought it was real for a second and I was incensed. LOL...

I would absolutely label Gronk as injury-prone and unreliable, in the sense that you cannot count on him to be there every game. While I agree somewhat that Amendola sitting out a preseason game doesn't mean much, it at least gives me a bit of an, "oh no, here we go..." feeling.

Gronk went his first 36 regular season games without missing a game and has only missed six regular season games and two playoff games for his career. To say he is unreliable in the sense you cannot count on him every game is a bit of a falicy.

In fact, this time last year people were saying the exact opposite. People were concerned about the long term career of Gronk, but everyone felt he was a tough son of biatch who would have to lose a limb to not be out there on Sunday.

5 pages so far. slow week.

Injury prone = Ras-I Dowling
A couple of freak injuries= Gronk & Amendola.

AH was definitely injury prone. Not that it matters anymore....

And it begins. Danny "I play half a season" Amendola. Just ******* great. Funny thing was he looked great.

Welker is currently hurt too...

People need to chill.... he could be out with a stomach bug for all we know.

Sounds like a mild concussion more than a case of him simply blowing **** water out of his ass.

If it were entirely up to GRONK, it probably WOULD take a limb falling off.

DA will likely be fine but it's hard not to take it as an omen...
