To those who have attended camp, or have knowledge of player performances; I was wondering if you could offer some feedback on these players I listed below (how they’re performing, what roles they’ve been playing, regular season expectations, etc.). I am an airline pilot and July and August are my most restricting months scheduling wise, so it’s been impossible to attend thus far and unlikely I will be able to at all.

Marcus Fortson - DL
Duron Harmon - DB
Logan Ryan - DB
Steve Beauharnais - LB
Jason Vega – DE/LB
Michael Buchanan – DE/LB

Thank you in advance for your feedback:youtheman:.

Some tidbits.

FORSTON seems almost a lock to make the team. He has looks fine playing in place of Armstead. He is the 1st DT off the bench. Even if Armstead make the squad, Forston should make it also. We need 4 DT's.

I haven't heard much of HARMON, other than he has been playing a lot of special teams, which should be his role during the season, if he is active.

RYAN has done well. He is a key special teamer. He should be active as a special teamer. Hopefully, he will move past Dowling/Cole on the depth chart. Everyone seems happy with Ryan's performance.

BEUHARNAIS has looked good on ST's and has sometimes looked good as a LB. Most have him making the roster as the last LB instead of the STers. Others have him on the Practice Squad.

I've heard nothing from anyone about VEGA that gives any indication that he has a chance of making the roster.

BUCHANAN was an early favorite to make the roster. He looked good in mini-camps. However, I've heard little lately. IMHO, the toughest cuts on the roster, and the stiffest competition, is at DE. He is competing with Benard, Francis, Cunningham and Bequette for what appears to be 3 roster spots. Ninkovich and Jones are of course locks.

what airlines?

why ..Air Bud of course....

what airlines?

Delta Connection; which is part of Delta Airlines and centered around the regional flights. Someday I hope to graduate to the bigger planes but everything runs on seniority in this industry (which is good and bad).

already got that covered.....

Doubt that but either way you're a very enjoyable poster, you have a lot of knowledge that you don't generally see in a sports forum even if its silly sometimes.

Yeah, I would have liked to have split an eight ball and a couple of hookers with Joker back in my partying days.

At the least a couple of drunken nights on the town...

OP, hope you don't mind me adding one more player to your list - Jake Bequette. I haven't really picked up much on him in camp so far. Does anyone have a good insight into how he's been doing?

:lol2: couple of hookers.. Reminds me of my younger years when I flew for a regional and we did a ton of trips into :canada:

Add away; I actually left one player out myself who was actually the reason I opened this thread :ugh:; Brandon Ford. Does anyone have any feedback on him?

Other than that he is too small, and can't catch, what more do you want to know?

Forston looks to be the classic guy who doesn't do much at camp, but is always the first off the bench at a position with virtually no depth so everyone assumes he is a lock but ends up getting cut in favor of some no-name waiver wire claim player. There's gotta be one every year, right?

I agree.

I would also note that there are TWO open DT spots available. I could see us with Forston AND a waiver wire player.

Interesting that Ben Volin lists Daniel Fells as the current #1 TE, with Hooman as the H-back and Sudfeld/Ballard battling for the #2 spot.

I'd tend to lean towards the same thing myself, but I think there are some who'd definitely disagree since Fells is often brought up as a potential cut.

Sorry I don't have a link, but it can be found under today's practice notes column where he breaks down everything into different categories. That can be found on the front page under the news section of this site.

I believe that this is indeed our current depth chart (not including Gronk).

AWTE over on PatriotsPlanet has stated that Fells is definitively the best performing TE at the moment.
