Update: Police have prepared arrest warrant for Patriots TE Aaron Hernandez for obstruction of justice, per ABC News.

Which all depends if they prove he did destroy his tapes or if his buddies did.

Has anyone answered, do we know 100% ahern destroyed the tapes and stuff? He had 2 other fellas in his house, they easily could have done it. That's the only shady part and who killed the dude.

Well, it depends.

If you blindly accept the media reports and say anyone who doesn't is a shill for the team then Aaron was arrested yesterday for definitely destroying the surveillance equipment and his cell phone but was also not arrested.

He then shot Lloyd in his house then also shot Lloyd a mile away without moving the body.

Then he called in a special murder scene clean-up crew Monday morning to clean his house where Lloyd was shot and neighbors could hear it but not clean the scene a mile away where Lloyd was definitely shot.

He then went to Gillette stadium where he was forcibly ejected by Patriots security after 35 minutes and banned from ever stepping foot on Patriot property for the rest of his life.

Or we know nothing of a certainty other than the facts that there is an investigation, search warrants have been served and Aaron Hernandez plays football for the NE patriots.

But only an idiot ******* Patriot shill would withhold judgement at this point.

I agree 100%. This is not the kind of person I want my son seeing when we go to the games. I am not Judge, Jury, and Executioner, and my opinion is just that..AN OPINION, but if anything that is being reported is indeed true, regardless of if he is formally charged, than it shows his moral compass isn't pointed in teh right direction...people keep talking about evidence, news reports, have faith, wait to see all the facts, but at the end of the day, this 27 year old man was murdered and in trying to be as objective as possible since yesterday, everything points to hernandez being involved, either directly or indirectly.

I understand there's a point where the team has to say "This is a bridge too far," but, historically, they have been willing to forgive a lot of things and give players a second chance—e.g., they didn't cut Willie Andrews after he was arrested on possession with intent to distribute marijuana, but they did cut him after he was arrested for pointing a gun at his girlfriend's head later that year.

If Hernandez had no involvement in the killing itself, I think the Patriots may well give him a second chance (although it wouldn't surprise me if they reworked it in a way that converted most of his remaining salary into per-game roster bonuses), but if he's actually accused of participating in the killing, then I think it's pretty much a given that he's gone.

Already both reported AND disputed.

Ya and if he did send one to where Lloyd was killed they did a horrible job by leaving the body there and also not getting rid of the rental car in his name.

PP2 you are really reaching far.
If he is not charged, not arrested and not disciplined it would mean he is an innocent witness. Why would the Patriots kick him to the curb for that? Long shot that he is totally innocent but that was your criteria.

Saying Kraft threw down the gauntlet because the Pats said he should go home after being there an hour is a stretch.

Per multiple news source (e.g., SMY), he was approached by team staff upon arrival and asked to leave immediately. The fact that he took an hour to do that doesn't make a difference.

It seems that to me, that at this point in time, it is pretty much impossible to conceive of him as an innocent witness.

Always a moral clause.

there doesn't have to be one

the latest CBA has a blanket 'personal conduct policy' that protects teams with every contract

Which all depends if they prove he did destroy his tapes or if his buddies did.

if he did, its obstruction, if his friends did and he refuses to say so its aiding and abetting a criminal which means he can be charged with the same thing as the killer.

The reports Ive seen says he was there an hour and then told to go home.
How is that throwing down a gauntlet? Do you throw down a gauntlet by saying leave, take an hour or so if you wish, buddy.

So you are saying you conclude he was the shooter?

You forgot to add "foam fingers unite". :banghead:

So apparently PFT is saying the warrant has been prepared just not filed. What are the Police waiting on?

And I still dont understand why AHern would leave his car right at the murder scene (and walk back to his house?). What sense does that make?

No but according to belicheck0104, Bob Ward's report is the only credible and reliable one.

Ah - You see, I am glad that I am catching up because it is **** like this that makes me completely discredit anything that you say.

I guess you didn't care about the fact that many of Bob Ward's reporting details from yesterday were independently verified by the Boston Globe report from yesterday as well.

I am still catching up. FWIW - a search warrant prepared and not issued is because Hernandez has not been served and a clerk of court will not know about a search warrant until after it has been served and then filed with the clerk of court. Typically - this is a mere formality because of SOP.

What???????????
Let me make sure I understand you. if he friend killed Lloyd, then trashed his security system, if Hernandez doesn't say who did it he is charged with murder?
Come on.

if he did, its obstruction, if his friends did and he refuses to say so its aiding and abetting a criminal which means he can be charged with the same thing as the killer.

Yeah, but we have no idea what's going on still. The fact that almost every report is getting proven false just makes ahern seem safer from charges. We don't know what he has said to the police.

Could you please cite the specific clause. Because the only thing I found was things that MAY be added to contracts..

Oh ya almost forgot that the gunshots were so loud that they apparently woke some neighbors up as it was 3AM but yet not loud enough for any of them to call the police to report they heard gunshots.

You can also cut a player because you don't like his shirt.

People smash their phones, hire cleaning crews and damge their video surveillance all the time Andy ... :rolleyes2:

Yeah, THAT's not suspicious.

Also, what was that thing about him showing up at Gilette stadium all about? He forget his roll of deodorant?

Why then, would they ban him from setting foot on Patriot property?

PP - the banning may be due to the CBA rules regarding their ability to appear at work at a team facility in addition to the current situation. Additionally, security at the stadium is leery of not wanting another Jovan Belcher situation in case Aaron is unstable right now because of what is going on.
