Firms like that don't touch "blue collar" criminal matters generally speaking. Ropes is a top law firm though.
If his money is green, something tells me they'll find a way to represent him.

... forgive my ignorance but, if, God forbid he gets arrested/jail time/etc, are the 16mil in guarantees still "guaranteed" ?! Or, it gets prorated somehow

cleaning crews usually come by Monday Morning.
Whuh huh? Your typical home cleaning crew works Monday through Friday. People usually have a set routine (i.e. 2nd of 4th Tuesday of the month) but there's no day preferred over any other.

(In fact, those of us who have used cleaning crews in the past know that Monday is the best day to avoid since there are more holidays on Monday than any other day of the week)

Well Rob

Well done.

Interesting how the disappeared girlfriend seems to arouse so little interest.

I thought that as well, AHern and his friends trying to clean up her mess. At this point, that might be the best-case scenario, but I read that this was likely drug-related. Still, it would also mean, AHern is looking at some destruction of evidence, obstruction charges in a murder case.

Motive anyone?

Motive? Tim Tebow has a motive. He wants a few snaps at tight end and he took care of Gronk with a knee to the back, and then he dumped the body in Attleboro to get Hernandez out of the picture. If I were Michael Hoomanawanui, I wouldn't eat any poi or whatever he eats without having somebody taste it for me first.

Tebow has replaced My God is an Awesome God on his iPod with , "Ten little, nine little, eight little tight ends, seven little, six little, five little tight ends,....

Clearly, though, Aaron Hernandez is the client, not the Krafts or the Patriots. Fee refers to Hernandez as "our client" in the only comments reported so far.
Glad you've backed off your earlier statements. I have no idea who is representing Hernandez but whoever it is won't be taking marching orders from the NFL or Bob Kraft.

There are conceivable reasons why he might destroy the tapes without being directly involved in the murder beforehand.

Of course, doing that is still a crime, so he'd still be in a lot of trouble even if that was the case.

Even if it wasn't him who did the damage to the camera system, the security company would call Hernandez DIRECTLY and immediately to notify him by his cellphone that the surveillance has been tampered with,I know i have received calls from ADT seconds after a communications signal in my business was messed up because of a bad phone line for example, they are good and fast and I assume Hernandez used them or Vector who are the top 2 companies in the US.

There certainly was a high class monitoring system involved..like i said before perhaps it was ADT who is the best in the country at monitoring IMO

God, some of you are bending over backwards to excuse him.

I don't know the story and he might be an innocent bystander but look at a few things.

1) He's reportedly destroyed evidence
2) He's an associate of the guy
3) He rented the car
4) He was one of the last people seen with him
5) He's been (by reports) uncooperative with the police
6) Body found near his house

I'm not even going to mention Florida.

Yes, he might be innocent but there's enough there to stop defending him and let him explain himself to the authorities.

If half of this is true, he's in deep **** and there are no reasons to defend him. The ball is in his court and it's pretty obvious the police and FBI are involved and are digging into this more and more and he's at the center of it.

Time to convict....NO... we're long past the point of making excuses for the guy though. If he's guilty, he deserves his fate.

In my opinion, most do not obstruct an investigation, unless they were involved in the main course of action. We'll see...is unfolding by the hour.

ABC News reported, today (6/20)- on their website -that an investigator close to the case said "he destroyed his home security system." It was confirmed that the surveillance system- which included video surveillances -was smashed intentionally.

And, a team of house-cleaners were hired on Monday to scrub the mansion.

He rented the car! A body was found near his house! He's an associate with someone! That's it people... Lock him up!

I don't know the details of Hernandez' contract, but if a player decides to just up and retire, he doesn't get guaranteed money and he might even have to return some of his signing bonus.

Hernandez, obviously, isn't exactly "retiring" here but the effect is the same. This is why I don't think the Patriots will cut him. They will declare him as not having reported to camp.

Glad you've backed off your earlier statements. I have no idea who is representing Hernandez but whoever it is won't be taking marching orders from the NFL or Bob Kraft.

I did not back off of that. Ropes & Gray is, after all, a law firm. Aaron Hernandez is not the deep pockets in this situation.

What are the odds he'll ever play a down for the Patriots ever again?

I'm going for 1 to 9.

...and unless he's an electronics genius, just destroying the phone might not be enough to prevent recovery of records. Plus, there's also you know...the phone company.

He rented the car! A body was found near his house! He's an associate with someone! That's it people... Lock him up!

Reading comprehension problems I see.

Let's all pretend he's not involved. Set him free... he plays for the Pats.

God, the mental midgets that infect this place sometimes...congrats.

I'm not convicting him. I'm just rolling my eyes and nimrods like you that seem to think all of these little things are coincidental.

It sucks to think that we passed on paying Wes Welker to sign this guy long term. Sad but no one could have seen this coming.

I was thinking the same thing until I heard he was shot in the back of the head. Hardly sounds like a domestic
struggle. More likely drug related.

I did not back off of that.
Then you don't have the first clue how the legal defense system works.
Ropes & Gray is, after all, a law firm. Aaron Hernandez is not the deep pockets in this situation.
You said Hernandez's employer has hired the law firm. Someone asked you where you heard that, and you did not respond - so I'll try asking again: Where have you heard that the team is the one who hired the lawyer?

I think that's a stupid statement since that would actually be a salary cap violation, so it bookends quite well with your stupid statement that Hernandez's lawyer is going to be more concerned with saving the NFL some embarrassment than in representing their client's best interests.

Where are Hernandez's girlfriend and her sister?

You said if half of it was true he would be in deep ****. That is half and there is no evidence what so ever and would be completely demolished in court if you tried to make these points. Keep them eyes rollin'
