Celebrate and create t-shirts about Brady's injury. Well how's it taste now a New England team has beat you for the third time in a conference championship!

Reading comments on the Penguins fan forums has brought a smile to my face this past week.

Bruins must've cheated. HockeySpyGate.

As a casual hockey fan who really only starts following closely during the playoffs, I can say that I was rooting for the Pens up until they drew Boston.

Then it became a much different story, although I can honestly say that I didn't expect the sheer *** kicking that ensued.

It is a pleasure to listen to this town whine, I can promise you that. I just lump them all in together, Pens/Steelers/Pirates. They're already complaining about the refs and Chara's "illegal" stick length etc...which is exactly what they do instead of just giving props to one of the greatest defensive performances I've ever witnessed.

They used spittpuck.

lol Iginla.

I cant speak of the fans (but what would you expect), but PIT played hard and clean, with nary a complaint on the ice.

They probably shoulda/coulda won one, and with a bit of bounce, two of those games, but sometimes the puck doesn't fall your way.

Ether way, they played hard, and never gave up. Well played with class PIT.

Our B's were just too deep, and too disciplined. And gelling at the perfect time. When they play like this, they're tough to beat.

All I can say now is, go-go LA, take this series to 7, win it, so I can sit in 6 hours of 5N traffic to catch a game of the cup -a relevant sporting event- down here in SD. /endhomesickrant But if that's too much to ask, win one more for the Gretz at least, tire CHI a bit out, and throw in an injury too if you could. Sadly though, I fear LA just doesn't have the scoring to win this series. I was amazed they snuck into the playoffs this year at all, never mind got to here. But CHI seems just too fast & agile to allow their big forecheck to cycle game to have effect, which is their only chance to score consistently. I swear the two goals they scored on Thurs practically fell into the net. No real pressure or actual sustained threat at all. Without Quick, they would have nothin. But I got a good feeling they take this one game @ CHI, desperate LA wins in a heavy physical game rife with injury potential.... and while prognosticating a bit, I then feel LA will lose next at home, and silver prices will remain steady. But a nice 6 game series would be great.

Assuming a CHI win, who can't wait for that one? An epic clash of styles from two great franchises.

The B's remind me of early 90's Pats Teams, lots of blue collar depth, everyone knows their role, no one person is greater than the team, good coaching, outstanding D and they just win.

Joy to watch...

Found on a penguin board this a.m.

I think I'm more impressed by the fact that they held Crosby/Malkin without a single point the entire series moreso than the sweep. Regardless both are amazing feats, after the late season trades the Penguins looked truly unbeatable for a couple weeks before Crosby hurt his jaw. Then once he came back I figured they'd sleepwalk to the finals but props to the Bruins. Good luck in the finals.

It really is a shame pittsburgh doesn't have a basketball team for us to beat. Now that these guys are outta the way it's time to go get that cup!

Pretty funny tweet last night by Ben Volin, the Globe's new NFL guy (Bedard's old job):

Thankfully the #Bruins made the Cup. It's been a scary 16 months since a Boston team played for a championship

Good times.

Where have I been? Crosby hurt his jaw? How? When?

Crosby was complaining constantly and in the 6-1 @ss kicking in Pitt you could hear some of the other players whining, Dupuis a few times. I could let that all go but after the series Crosby said "we deserved better". No, no you didn't. You didn't score. You were a -4. Most importantly you were directly responsible for a couple of momentum changing goals the most important being the give way at the blue line that let Marchand score 28 seconds in. I can give the rest of the team a pass but not sniveling Sidney.

Great backdoor way to get a Bruins thread going on the main forum

It's the offseason and I didn't move the last one and I won't move this one.

I'm a very casual hockey "fan" but I would say that the last 2 minutes of last night game was very exciting. Pitt did everything thing they could to try to get he tying goal and the Bruins were throwing their bodies all over the place to prevent it.

Glad I kept switching back to the game and didn't go to bed. I watched the entire last 10 minutes without switching which could be a record. I thought the Bruins would get an empty net goal but Pitt kept up the pressure.

Great finish!!!

No offense to you, Brother Sign ~ big Fan ~ but I don't tend to share in Gloating.

I get far more satisfaction out'f focusing not on PittsBurgh's Failure, but on our Success.

Great Article in that very Spirit from Columbia BroadCasting:

I absolutely love the way this Team plays Hockey!! What a Privilege to root for'm!! :rocker:
Your right much more fun to focus on the positive but some fan bases bring it out.

Quotes like the following make me happy to tweak the Penguins and their fans:

"You know what? There weren’t times where we were worried, to be honest with you," offered captain Crosby. "Where we felt like we were losing momentum. There’s times where you get three, four shifts where they’re hemming you in and you feel like they’ve got a lot of pressure. There wasn’t really any point besides that second game where we felt like that.

And, on that note....

Better not change the channel come the cup round...hopefully you learned your lesson
