2013 Patriots Draft Contact List

@NFLDraftBible Florida DE Earl Okine had a private workout this morning w/ Patriots Bill Belichick and Nick Caserio.

How very Patriots. The one Florida defender no-one is talking about :)

Anyway, he's 6'7" and 287lbs. With the alleged interest in Michael Johnson and the combine interview with Corey Lemonier, length does seem to be something the Patriots are looking at this year. More support for the notion that Margus Hunt is a likely pick perhaps.

Anyway here's Okine's highlight video.

Okine did basically nothing at Florida, but he was the MVP of the Texas vs Nation game with 2 sacks and a FR TD. Other than being over 6'6", the measurable that sticks out is the 6.99 3-cone. That's fast.

Interesting "highlights". Just seems to be a couple of ok stops against the run. Didn't seem to use his hands very well in the only few pass rush attemts i saw. Oh well UDFA maybe?

Yeah, he's either an UDFA or one of Belichick's surprise late round picks. I suppose it could just be the Pats showing interest so he's more likely to sign with them after the draft.

Can't provide a link because I'm on the tablet but according to Rotoworld, we are one of 10 teams to have a private workout planned with Alec Ogletree. Don't think we'll draft him but will be excited if we do.

I could definitely be on board with that pick. Coverage LB's with his skills are rare.

He was stout against the run at Florida, but didn't give us much in the pass rush. His game in Texas vs. the Nation was more of an anomaly than anything.

As for Ogletree, cover LB is a need. But I wonder how high up the Pats are willing to go for that, specifically with Fletcher returning in 2013...

Patriots going to take a look at Jasper Collins, WR, Mount Union as well. A lot of WRs.

Some updates by @onlygators on the rest of the #Patriots UF workout with BB: joining Okine were Jelani Jenkins, Jon Bostic, Josh Evans and Lerentee McCray. Interesting Evans and no Elam. Jenkins and Bostic probably ancillary considering values. Intrigued by other Gators.

Heh. @RavensInsider: Don Jones conducted a private workout for the New England Patriots recently, according to a league source.

I know I'm in the minority but I honestly think he could be the slot corner equivalent of Welker and shut down the slot.
