Who or what is MSM? Sorry for the ignorance.

You're telling me that Incarcerated Bob has gotten every signing correct this FA period with the exception of S.Smith? Really?

MSM = mainstream media

Belichick better not screw around and not resign Talib.

Pats have been waiting 2 years for this free agency period!!!

They've signed one player and lost about 5 hahahah

This is why we needn't worry about Denver smoking us in the playoffs with Welkah. Resistance to the SF borg is futile

What about the Seabirds, seems like resistance to them is futile too.

MainStream Media.

He has...I know most folks think he is a joke. All I'm saying is up until the Sean Smith announcement (1st I saw was Adam S.) he has broke all of them...

Again I'm Just Saying.

Re-tweeting others is not breaking news.

Oh great, your propensity for meltdowns into incoherence extends beyond gameday threads.

Re-tweeting others is not breaking news.

You must follow a whole different set of folks than I do.

I follow Florio/Adam/LaConfora and the likes....

He beats them almost every time.

YMMV

They're looking at the kind of deal that Sean Smith signed in relation to Talib...IF that.

3/18, and I will bet you anything they never go that high at 18.

They aren't going to offer Talib the kind of deal that K.Lewis just got, not at FIVE years.

No I don't think it just should undermine how cheap this CB class is. Last year a guy like Lewis would have probably made 35m for 5 years. 22-24m 4y for Talib and I'm happy. The market is thinning quickly now and with those prices even a few cash strapped franchises could over him a good deal. I don't have the delusion anymore that we could really improve on the CB position and sign 2 quality starters or a quality safety.

Is it better or worse than whining about how the Patriots never sign someone every time a FA signs with a different team?

Worse becasue we can at least whine with the past moves were you post something so stupid that should be deleted. Don't like someone whining..block them. You post something that 100% will never happen.

Huh? They've only signed one player In a year where CBs are going for 6m a year

Thinking on this point broadly, it would've been very exciting to see New England go aggressively after players X Y Z because it would (seemingly) indicate that players X Y Z are seen by BB as the answers to the team's problems.

Instead, we're seeing the same BB that aggravates (and sometimes thrills) us on draft day by trading back for value. The Patriots seem to think playing things slowly at this point, waiting for the initial burst of spending to subside is the smart way to maximize the value they'll get with their cap dollars - eventually.

Hopefully at the end of the day, the folks in the FO aren't looking back, wishing what if, and are instead glad to be in the position they've sought.

We've done this bit recently enough that I'm not doing it again. If you like him, that's fine for you. The guy's a fraud. I'm generally not big on frauds.

Just the way he's taking credit for the Smith signing should be enough for you to figure it out if you really want to. But, again, if you like him, that's fine for you.

Incarcerated Bob says the Pats have offered their 1st round pick for Revis.

Take that for what it's worth (e.g. toilet paper).

The next time Incarcerated Boob breaks a story, it will be his first time also. All he does is regurgitate other peoples twitter posts.

I agree it would likely be in that range, at least something compartive.

22-24m 4y for Talib and I'm happy.

I'd be happy too. I'm personally doubting that we'd offer Talib a longer term deal, but they're creative enough to have on out should they need one.

Personally, I still think it will be a 3 yr or less deal with money around 4.5 to 5 million a year, but that's just my opinion. We'll have to see. Hopefully it gets done.

Maybe they are saving their cap $$ for next year? Is next years FA list big?

How can I like someone I don't know?....just a different source of potential information.

My mistake for mentioning here....

Carry On Sir

Today at about 9am, this board started a thread about Donald Jones visiting the Patriots. Here's Bob

IBN Sports Wrap - Donald Jones expected to meet with the Patriots by Darious Morgan IBN Sports Wrap - Donald Jones expected to meet with the Patriots by Darious Morgan Could be a steal for Pats...

Bob tweeted it hours later.

That's just finding one right on this board.

Where did I mention anything about breaking visits?

All I said was he had bested the MSM on many of the signings up to the Sean Smith one this AM.

You don't have to answer my question.

My apologies to the board for going OT.

Guys last year = 9 million
Same guys this year = 6 million

Shopping at Walmart, which was my point. As I noted elsewhere, I don't generally consider that a bad thing.

Very few things in life go up in value as they get older... Apparently that NFL players are included..

That was your claim. I've pointed you to his blown Sean Smith stuff, where he was calling that a done deal a long time ago and it didn't happen that way, at all, and to the hours late report on a visit. As I said, you're welcome to like him if you wish.
