Do you guys know how many receiving yards Amendola had last year?

Sounds like a bad omen.
Seriously though, I think that Welker over Amendola is a no-brainer. Welker is about as tough as they come too...best slot receiver in the league, hands down. The guy is a machine there, and I think some Pats fans are rationalizing when they talk about his age. He's only 31 (32 next month), so I figure that he could be very productive for the next 5 years if he's driven to do that and doesn't get seriously injured. He didn't even really play all that much before coming to New England in 2007, so that probably saved some wear-and-tear.
What has Amendola REALLY proven so far? That's the question. You don't just plug in any old person in there and expect the same results, even if you are Tom Brady. There is a thing called chemistry too...Brady had it with Welker big-time.
Welker is proven...Amendola has potential. How both these guys do will be intriguing story-lines next year. God, I miss football.
