Report: Welker “seriously considering” leaving Patriots

But the year they traded for Moss and Welker that had an abundance of draft picks to trade as usual. They have nothing this year compared to years past

They also just brought in 33 players via the draft the last 3 years, though not all are still here there is a lot of youth on this team right now and they could afford to make another trade with this years stock or dip into next years.

I think you are grasping at straws, there are plenty of ways to find another competant receiver. I would be more worried about them fitting the system and I would be more worried about if they can even come close to Wes' talent than wether we can actually find someone.

I want Wes back dont get me wrong I just have faith in this team and front office to be able to put a team together even without Wes that will be one of the best in the league.

But but but but he's bigger and faster, given the opportunities he would have better numbers..............................

So... right. Nobody ever said that they'd rather have him than Welker.

Brady doesn't deserve blame the receivers as a whole do. As Giselle said he can't catch and throw the ball.

Welker had a ball hit both his hands and dropped it. That catch would have sealed the game. Sorry, but I'm going to give him a lot of blame.

You can stop calling me an idiot and a fool, it doesn't make you anymore right.

It was a friggin CIRCUS CATCH on a poorly thrown ball to the wrong shoulder. It doesn't matter if he got both hands on it and there is absolutely no guarantee that it would have sealed the game. You also ignore the FACT that Hernandez and Branch proceeded to drop much easier catches after that.

You bringing Gisele's comments into this show exactly how pathetic your argument is.

Actually, stating the facts is what makes him and myself right and you wrong. The idiot and fool comments are just more facts.

Branch was traded in September or maybe late August by the end of the following April Moss and Wes were both in town.

.

I.e.. after the 2006 season, which is exactly what i said. Belichick let Givens walk and traded Branch and replaced them with scrubs, if he tries that again he will waste at least one of Brady's final seasons here, and that is truly stupid.

The grounding call was shaky at best, he threw it 30 yards down field someone probably cut the wrong way and it looked like he was throwing to no one. How about Brady bringing them back with 2 huge 90+ yard drives to make it 17-0? You can't expect the QB to be perfect especially with a bum shoulder. He sucked against Baltimore I never said he didn't, but it's funny how the team can't do anything if he sucks, can't run can't play defense. There's tons of problems higher on the list than Brady.

Your problem is that you refuse to give anyone but Brady any credit for the team's successes. You also refuse to give Brady any blame for the team's failures. And this post is a perfect example.

Branch's ball was deflected, not dropped. He was also open and Brady made a bad throw.

Feels like the Ray Allen saga all over again.
Give Manning a toy. WW and Thomas would be Moss/WW of 2007. As you may be able to tell, I love me some DT.

And here I thought that I was a wicked Pats homer.
I defer.

I will fully admit to being a huge homer but until this teams gives me a reason not to have %100 confidence in them I will not waiver. And shame on you guys that have. We aren't even complete with 2 days of free agency and I am of the opinion there is already enough talent on the team that we will be in the playoffs so I am not that worried about WR and/or CB at least until the 25 Mil has dried up.

Whether he gives Brady too much credit or not, I think he's on target. Grounding was BS, Brady then proceeded to break NFL record for completions, and the team had the Giants on the run as Brady brought them from their own 15 to the Giants 35 for the game winning score, all by passing, before Bill O'Brien elected to call a jumbo package to run the ball right behind Logan Mankins and his lack of ACL. Brady gave us a lot that game and delivered. Hell, after the Hernandez drop, he found Branch on 4th down for a big gainer, got the team to midfield, and threw up a Hail Mary that went off Gronk's fingertips.

I don't see Thomas being anywhere near 07 Moss.

I think he's referring to the easy drop by Branch on the last drive of the game, unless that's the one you are thinking of also?

If you dont want to recognize the difference in losing someone a few days before the season starts or even just after it had started (like Branch) and losing someone on day 2 or 3 than that is your choice.

I on the other hand trust that the front office will find a decent receiver to pair up with Gronk and Hernandez and that Brady will still have a very good group of players to pass to.

If you want to ignore this than so be it. Panic, go crazy, do whatever makes you happy.

I get sick of people saying that Pass in the Superbowl was over the wrong shoulder. Brady was clearly throwing it away from the oncoming safety into open space. Tough catch for Welker, but it's hardly out of line to say an elite playmaker has to make that catch.

Losing a player 3 days before the season to trade or losing them in free agency makes little difference when you replace them with garbage, which is what he did. You can believe that Belichick won't make that mistake again and i will hope you are right but right now that doesn't look too promising.

Btw, who did he replace Samuel with?

OK, no seriously, can we move the SB46 talk elsewhere??

If it's really down to Denver vs. NE for Wes, he's going to be a lot happier in NE. Obviously, we don't know the money, but Brady's skillset and passing meshes a million times better with his game than Manning's.

Brady is a classic, accurate passer who zips the ball into tight windows, and who - especially in the last few years - makes a living out of throwing it low and hard. Manning can't do either of those things. Manning's best throws in 2012 were precise lofts, and a lot of over the shoulder stuff. That is not in Wes' wheelhouse. Wes main asset, his ability to separate and get open in an instant, is made even greater by his chemistry with Brady, and Tom's ability to get the ball in their quick.

Is there any reason as his shoulder gets better, that Manning won't go back to making accurate short passes again?

I'd say there's a huge difference between having a WR in camp as opposed to just getting him before week 1....regardless of their quality

losing a guy 3 days before is not a big deal if you have others who can play.

the only mistake BB made was miscalculating deion branch

There's no way to know for sure. It might come back, it might not.
