Bowe has the same reputation doesn't he (though with a higher skill upside)? Be interesting if both of Smith's top options had the dropsies.

Lemme guess, waiting for prices to go down so they can go "bargain" shopping....If Welker & Lloyd are gone might as well pencil in 8 wins with the receiving corps they have. Yeah, Hernandez and Gronkowski, but who's going to be a legitimate threat more than 15 yards down the field? Matthew Freaking Slater? Bring in Sam Aiken? Reche Caldwell? What's Belichick's love affair with Slater? Oh, I get it, he's CHEAP!!!!!!!!!!! OHHH a Pro Bowl Special Teamer, like that's going to beat Baltimore in the playoffs.
It's looking once again like the Pats are going to trot in a cadre of 30+ year old veterans at the receiver slot to see who sticks....

I've only heard of probably a dozen or so actual visits accompanied with signings, you hear about just signings much more frequently, especially in the "frenzy" period.

With him and Bowe, the Patriots defensive backs (if they start any) should spend all week on the tip drill to gather up all the dropped balls.

My buddy thought of a way to combat the lack of Patriots news during free agency. Go look at the list of top free agents and then twitter search their names. If nothing comes up that means we are probably having serious discussions with them.

Yeah, Bowe will drop a pass for you, no question. He's also not a big 'fight for the ball' kind of guy.

Laurent Robinson was just released by the Jags. Lasted less than a calendar year on that big contract. Was very good in Dallas two years ago... may be worth a look.

Robinson suffered numerous concussions last year. It's what made him so ineffective for the Jags.. I think he's a high risk because of that..

He's done I reckon. He gets 14 million to make something for the rest of his life. Pointless trying to come back to football after those injuries. I wish him well.
