Anybody? The guy has really come into his own. He's developed a consistent jump shot and a post game and his percentages get better year after year after year. IMO, I think we're seeing the LeBron now that everyone predicted he'd be coming out of high school. It took him some time to get his game right, but now he's a wonder to watch.

All that being said, I also expect to hear some commentary on why the refs are responsible for him killing the NBA at this point.

:bricks:

Lol. I hate to admit it but the guy is crazy good. Almost unstoppable.

He's playing very, very well.

Look at Kobe cover his mouth.

He's still a douchebag and hopefully he never supplants MJ as the best ever.

Whether or not he's a douche is irrelevant. Most professional athletes are. The Celtics have a couple of their own. What matters is that he is playing some all time great ball right now, and has been since he got the monkey off his back.

When MJ was playing everyone loved watching him play ... fans of the Bulls and others. The only people who like LeBron are Heat fans - everyone else thinks he's a douchebag. Just saying it real ....... very few care how good he is and most NBA fans want him to fail. bet you even hated him before he came to the Heat.

I didn't hate him. I liked watching him but thought he was a one trick pony that could improve his game. He has. And most fans that I have met down in Florida (far more of a melting pot than Boston where you're dealing with Celtics fans that have hated LeBron since Jump St. for the most part) that aren't Heat fans enjoy watching him play. He's a great player. People enjoy watching great players play whether they care to admit it or not.

If you had a chance to have LeBron come to the Celtics, you wouldn't welcome it?

No ... absolutely not ... I'd pay Kevin Durant ... much more likeable player.

Eh. Maybe in Boston, he wouldn't get owned by the Heat.

They used to say the same thing about Wilt the Stilt, but Bill Russell took care of him. I'd take Bill Russel over any NBA player ever, and that includes LeBron James. Too bad most of the fans here are too young to have seen him play.

Having a great year, obviously.

Not his fault, but the stuff about the "streak" strikes me as kind of stupid -- the kind of thing we regularly hear the media breathlessly talk about now that stats are so prevalent, with combinations of things nobody has ever talked about before. Impressive performance during those games, though? Sure.

(btw, I think LeBron is a douche, but it's really only because of the manner in which he left Cleveland. Well before that I thought he was the best player in the game, even before most folks felt he had displaced Kobe, and he still is.)

thats how i feel about larry bird. i dont even think twice about it. hes the guy i start my team with. follwed by jordan and magic. im old enough to remember the 70s with havlicek and tommy heinsohn coaching. triple ot game against the suns. ect ect. i was around 7 years old when russel retired.

LeBron is the poster boy for the NBA...me, me, me and more of me. I just watched the "opening cermemony" to the All Star game. I have never seen such "hey look at me" on display. Solid folks like Tim Duncan almost look embarassed to be a part of this specticle.

The, LeBron taking his talents to South Beach announcement didn't set well with me and i dont care for him ever since. Talent wise, obviously he is one of the best in the league.

Nah, I can take LeBron more than I can take Jordan. The gambling bullcrap, the Jordan rules and that loathsome HOF speech.

Jordan got drafted by a large market team, if he had been drafted by the Trailblazers, he would of gotten the hell out of there the like LeBron did with Cleveland. Do you honestly think Lebron would of left if he were drafted by LA, Chicago or New York?

I don't really care for LeBron, but let's not act like Jordan was some kind of great person. If Lebron would punch Bosh is the face during practice, like Jordan did to Longley. Instead of being praised for his competitiveness like Jordan was, Lebron would be ripped to shreds by the media idiots from Skip Bayless all the way down.

Boom, boom, and boom. This thread will probably end win that because I don't see how that can possibly be argued against. Jordan was one of the most massive douchebags ever in professional sports. To call LeBron a douche and then say that hopefully he never supplants THAT douche canoe is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. We're talking about a degenerate gambler that invited his poor sap of a high school coach to his Hall of Fame speech just so he could **** talk him on national television. He's a piece of **** and I hope to God LeBron supplants him.

the thing i find strange is why you are so concerned about what other fans think about your Binky. you are always comparing lj to somebody else. look look hes just as bad as that guy or look look that player is worse than lj. its pathetic. a lot of this topic is based on emotion. as it should be its about sports not nuclear science. nobody has to make a argument why they hate the guy. they have there reasons and it doesn't matter who agrees. imo lj is a all time massive douche. jordan isn't even close. this whole topic is subjective. meaning no matter how hard you try you cant prove lj is less of a douche bag than jordan or anybody else. in the court of public opinion lj is the king of douche bags and jordon isn't. you cant accept this because you have no objectivity on the subject. but man you are a hell of a speller dude. this thread will go on.

I see captain insano is in the mood to get smoked again...

Actually, you magnificent piece of previously-banned low life Southie trash, Dwyane Wade is my binky on the team.

you are always comparing lj to somebody else. look look hes just as bad as that guy or look look that player is worse than lj. its pathetic. a lot of this topic is based on emotion. as it should be its about sports not nuclear science. nobody has to make a argument why they hate the guy.

1. I didn't start the Jordan comparison.

2. I started this topic to see whether or not some people in here could be objective and just admit that the guy is playing good ball. That this thread has devolved into how much of a perceived douche LeBron is proves my point about the objectivity of people like you. Instead of just admitting that the guy is playing good ball, you'd rather go off on a completely irrelevant topic.

I could care less if you like him or not. The question wasn't about that. But, given your low level reading comprehension, I'm not surprised that you missed the point.

It's actually very easy to prove that LBJ is much less of a douche than Jordan. PatsFanInEaglesLand did a fine job of it.

in the court of public opinion lj is the king of douche bags and jordon isn't.

What court are you living in? Oh yeah, the Boston one. The non-melting pot one. The court of Boston sports of course thinks that LBJ is the king douche because the guy has knocked them out of the playoffs for the past two years while winning a championship. Try travelling outside of Boston for a change and conversing with people at just how pompous they perceive Jordan to be now that he's retired and more stories are coming out about him during his hay day. It might enlighten you.

you cant accept this because you have no objectivity on the subject. but man you are a hell of a speller dude. this thread will go on.

You telling me that I have no objectivity on the subject is rich in irony. The thread will go on only because I enjoy playing games like this on the "easy" level from time to time.
