The 2013 Prospect Thread

I know very little about him, except that this is his first year as a defensive player, and he's a rare guy who is 300lbs and runs a 4.78 40 according to NFL draft scout

Former TE, converted to defense, ridiculously athletic, terrorizing QBs in a major conference. When has this board ever shown interest in one of those?

Mayo, you never commented on my Blueprint. I'd love to know what you think.

Tony Pauline says that Alex Ogletree and Marcus Lattimore are thinking of declaring:

Robert Alford is an interesting DB prospect. Here's a writeup from the Bleacher Report with some film clips:

Here's a writeup from Phil Savage's staff at the Senior Bowl, which has invited Alford:

Possible top 45 seems aggressive, especially for a small school prospect who will be 25 as a rookie, but who knows? Maybe he could be the next Lardarius Webb.

Tyrann Mathieu has announced he's declaring for the draft. With his ability to force turnovers and his special teams abilities, one would have to think that the Pats would be interested. So the question is, where do you take him (or more importantly, where would BB take him).

I'm going to say that they should wait to at least the 6th round and more probably the 7th.

Jeff Fisher will be all over this prospect.

I saw Alford twice last year. Pretty mediocre. Lacks quickness and strength, but uses great technique to jam receivers off the line of scrimmage. Mediocre instincts, above average ball skills, average fluidity, mediocre speed.

He's short and all reports indicate he's an undersized Asante Samuel with worse cover skills and amazing ST ability

Would love to have Nix if the descriptions of him are accurate. But I very much doubt he lasts all the way to #32.

Question to all. If Nix does declare for the draft, does he go ahead of Jonathan Hankins? I vote yes.

Any thoughts on Kent State offensive tackle Brian Winters?

I'm currently looking for contingency options at offensive tackle if Sebastian Vollmer departs via unrestricted free agency.
