BB obviously has the pulse of the teams and knows what's best, but at this point it may actually be counterproductive if the Pats are just hitting their usual late season defensive surge.

Kind of? I'd say we definitely want a Broncos loss for post-season positioning. We also do NOT want to play the Broncos in Denver.

Fortunately, this has the look and feel of an upset.

Ideally, the Patriots fans should be rooting against the Broncos and for the Steelers. Keep them in the 4-5 matchup and take our chances with Andrew Luck. If they survive that, the Patriots will go to Baltimore which I like their chances regardless.

I find it odd that teams would carry two kickers, one for FG's and one for kickoffs. Seems like it's a waste of a roster spot.

The Ravens are a bigger concern for the Patriots than the Steelers at this point.
