Gronk: arm injury

It doesn't take an orthopedic surgeon or radiologist to understand how bones heal. Anyone with an anatomy and physiology I & II course under their belt could describe the healing process.

You are however correct that without details on the break it is nearly impossible to determine a possible time table.

There are precious few other specialties that can list off the top of their head all the ways you can break a bone and give recovery times.

Knowing bone remodeling isn't going to tell you how long it'll heal.

Maybe Belichick had ESP by using that IR rule on Shiancoe insuring himself some depth if a TE went down in midseason.

Visante may become an important blocker and short catch receiver as he was in Minnesota,he's nothing like Gronk but he can provide some help for the next month

For those who called putting Shiancoe on the new IR rules dumb back a few months ago,you might want to change your thought process now.

infectious diseases???

there's a ton of fans here that would be willing to bankroll the rest of your education if you can come up with a cure for the dreaded Joe Kerritis...here's hoping you switch majors to communications or hotel/restaurant mgmt..(the Joker is a fat bastid with a huge appytight)

I actually took several communications courses over the past year and enjoyed it enough that I might pursue a minor in it. :rocker:

I'm a southern guy, i'd rather get a job for a local pharma company or govt agency down here. Thanks though

Well okay then. You're welcome.
Btw, it's Midnight. Your horse drawn carriage to the Gronk Gets Injured Ball is turning back into a pumpkin, Cinderella.
Goodnight. lol.

I'm an EMT does anybody want my professional opinion?

Everyone is a doctor i see

not me...I run my own institution of higher learning...

Joe Kerr's School of Good Looks

very intensive one day curriculum consisting of a single lesson..."my son, you LOOK good...leave next semester's $500 tuition in the brown paper bag by the door on the way out.."...

Goodnight.

Back to studying for me. I hate how teachers give exams on Mondays, let alone during the week of Thanksgiving. Bunch of wankers

My opinion and guess is that Gronk will heal up enough to play in the game against the Jaguars in week 16

Expect Deion Branch to be receiving a call by Wednesday

exam thanksgiving week? Never had one of those in college...teacher blows

he is having surgery tomorrow...

screws inserted....routine

WE have a nice win today and Gronk goes down for what is being said as 4-6 weeks. This team can't catch a break it seems when it comes to injuries. I am totally disgusted.

what the hell man....

Lets wait until we hear about how severe the injury is until we all jump off the ship.

A hairline fracture is considered a break, but if he has surgery and gets a pin put in tomorrow, he obviously wont play against the Jets, but might be ok for the Texans. Everything out there right now is speculation.

Exactly. A snapped bone and a tiny hairline fracture are both "broken forearms". Until we know the severity much of this thread is GROSS speculation.

CBs Drayton Florence of the Lions and Chris Cook of the Vikings both broke their forearms earlier this year similar to Gronk's injury.

Florence was used with the designated IR rule in week 3 and was just activated,Cook's injury happened 3 weeks ago and is expected to be out 7-8 weeks and he also had surgery done on it.

Not good news...

7 or 8 weeks would put Gronk out until the divisional round

A broken forearm can have different severities, the only safe way to guess how long he will be out is to say 1 month up to 2 months

yup. Rapo said surgery is most likely tomorrow

Since he is having surgery..i would say it's much more than a tiny hairline fracture

Don't know if they would go so far as to have surgery done on just a hairline fracture,it's definitely at least a break in the bone.

I don't know. It seems that they're basically trading healthy Gronk for healthy Hernandez right now. Especially with Edelman contributing, I don't know if they need Branch any more right now than they did 24 hours ago.

Anyone who seriously studied Cellular Biology at a credible university isn't gonna be riffing like this on a football fan board at 11:30 on a Sunday night. I'm calling shenanigans.
"I'm not a doctor in real life but I play one on..." lol.

I chose the IT profession myself so I have no idea who is right. Yet I did certainly learn enough to know that whether someone enjoys posting on his team's bulletin board (at any hour) has nothing whatsoever to do with him being right or wrong. Very weak post.....
