can't say i know a lot about most of these guys, just going by NFL Draft Scout....may have to go Bowe/Merriweather in the first to be more realistic.

This would be a tremendous draft. Nelson + Burgess would make me a happy dude.

Man if Nelson fell I'd kiss NEM.

In fact I'd love any of the top four safeties...Nelson, Landry, Griffin, or Meriweather.

I doubt we see a WR in the first, it's a deep draft for them and better value will be found later on the second day.

I didn't hear it, I saw it. Leon Hall is overrated. No Big 10 players please.

I'm with you. Not really a fan of the Big 10, despite the drafting of Maroney last year (and I still think he'll be a stud, more Eddie George than Ron Dayne). The conference is just ridiculously overrated. Luckily, most of Belichick's picks come from the SEC anyways. That's not to say there aren't alot of good players in the Big 10, it just seems they have more of a propensity to bust than SEC guys.

This would be great, comments:
- Bennett looked shaky in the games I saw
- if we got Nelson, Bradley & Bowe would be quite a Day 1
- Burgess may not last until round 4
- Nelson may be a stretch, Merriweather is a similar player, but all that baggage, that is a tough call

What do people think of packaging #24 and a 6th or 7th rounder to move up a few spots to try to get Nelson?

Without hesitation, I'd even give up our fourth and 24 for him.

You're going to judge the Big 10 ridiculously overrated off a couple games?

Let's look at the first round draft choices out of both leagues the last few years. I'll bold the guys that started and played decently, and mark the busts in red. I'll leave the others blank. Some, like Eli Manning, are difficult, because he's definitely not performing up to his rank, and I think if he had a different last name, he might not even be starting. He might already be labeled a Heath Schuler type bust. Dewayne Robertson may be considered a bust because of his position and cost, but he's an alright player so I left him be. With Michael Clayton, I don't know what to do with him. Great rookie year, and now he doesn't even start. 30 catches is not where I want my 3rd year 1st round draft choice to be, so I left him as a JAG.

Big 10:
1. AJ Hawk
2. Donte Whitner
3. Chad Greenway IR
4. Bobby Carpenter
5. Tamba Hali
6. Lawrence Maroney
7. Santonio Holmes
8. Nick Mangold
9. Braylon Edwards
10. Erasmus James IR
11. Luis Castillo
12. Marlin Jackson
13. Roberty Gallery
14. Lee Evans
15. Will Smith
16. Chris Perry IR
17. Chris Gamble
18. Michael Jenkins
19. Carlos Rogers
20. Jimmy Kennedy
21. Michael Haynes
22. Bryant Johnson
23. Dallas Clark
24. Larry Johnson
25. Eric Steinbach

Big 10 has 16 contributors, 4 JAGs, 3 on IR, 2 Busts

SEC:
1. Jay Cutler
2. Jason Allen
3. Joseph Addai
4. Johnathan Joseph
5. Ronnie Brown
6. Carnell Williams
7. Troy Williamson
8. Carlos Rogers
9. Thomas Davis
10. David Pollack IR CAREER OVER
11. Marcus Spears
12. Matt Jones
13. Jason Campbell
14. Chris Spencer
15. Eli Manning
16. Dunta Robinson
17. Shawn Andrews
18. Michael Clayton
19. Ahmad Carroll
20. Ben Watson
21. Dewayne Robertson
22. Johnathan Sullivan
23. George Foster
24. Rex Grossman

SEC has 12 contributors, 9 JAGs, 1 on IR-Career Over, which means the pick was a bust, and 2 outright busts.

The last several years, I think the two leagues are relatively even with an equal amount of talent coming out of both leagues.

6th Round (Comp): Reggie Lewis, CB from Florida
6th Round (Comp): Jessie Daniels, SS from LSU or Brandon Mitchell, FS from Ohio State
7th Round (from Arizona): Chris Davis, WR from Florida State
7th Round: You know Bill Belichick will draft a tight end

You mean like quarterbacks Tom Brady or Drew Brees? How about linebackers Rosevelt Colvin and Mike Vrabel? Why don't we cut all the players from the Big 10 on the Patriots roster while you are here? Let me guess, you are not a fan of Matt Light? I guess Laurence Maroney is a bust?
