Be realistic guys! Here's mine:

1a. Leon Hall; Michigan (the best corner in the draft, short and physical the way the Pats like 'em)

1b. Paul Poluzny; Penn State (injury concerns are there but he's a beast)

2. Brandon Meriweather; Miami (FL) (assuming it all checks out...Pats haven't been afraid to take redeemed bad boys before)

3. Josh Wilson; Maryland (poor man's DeAngelo Hall, is also a GREAT return man, plays like Ellis Hobbs)

3. Doug Free; Northern Illinois (comp) (If he hits the weights he will take over at RT from day one, is smart, athletic, and a hard worker)

4. Steve Smith; USC (good possesion reciever, will be able to take over for Troy Brown in a year)

4. Tyrone Moss; Miami (FL); (comp) (a bit short, but weighs 235, and has unnatural speed for that weight, he will eventually take Dillon's spot)

5. Desmond Bishop; Cal; (very productive, has good size, will be a St'ers and who knows might turn into something)

6. Stephen Berg; ASU; (stock dipped due to injury, but might surprise many of us after he recovers, was leader for a very very good ASU o-line)

7. Jay Richardson; OSU; (St'er)

1. LaMarr Woodley. Trade the draft for him.

Guns don't kill people, LaMarr Woodley kills people.

Dave, what do you think of David Harris as an ILB for us ?

Be realistic, huh? Your first pick right off the bat is unrealistic considering Leon Hall will be most likely the first cornerback selected in the 2007 NFL Draft.

Paul Poz is my guy, but if we're dreaming I think we could grab him in the 2nd round and grab a safety in the 1st round or OLB

I have been high on Josh Wilson. He's quick as lightning, a ballhawk and prototype BB cornerback. psssttt.....he's only 5'9. Think of all "I will bet you threads" he will produce.... LOL

poz's draft stock went totally down after his injury...went from a top 10 prospect after last years draft...then middle of the first, then to late first, now its looking he'll be in the late late first to early 2nd, so stealing him with a 2nd rounder would be not only amazing, but possible at th esame time...if trades up and down coudl be made

It's not a foregone conclusion that Hall will not be available to us. He doesn't show up well at the combines, he was burned in the biggest two games of the year. I thinka case can be made for him dropping.

In my perfect world, I see us resigning Samuel, then:

1. S Laron Landry
1. OLB Jarvis Moss
2. ILB Paul Poszlusny
3. WR--the one the Pats like best
4. Maybe a RB like Tony Hunt if he's available, and he could well be given his anticipated slow time at the combine.

No one from the Big 10 or Pac-10. That'd make me happy.

Leon Hall looked like a fool guarding Dwayne Jarrett in the Rose Bowl. Lamar Woodley didn't do much either. Too early to predict who we want in the draft because we know the combine and private workouts will help prospects rise up draft boards.

howd he look like a fool? he guarded him like 5 times all game and let up 1 catch to Jarrett. i hate how people blame a player b/c thats what they heard of assume

One guy I really like, though probably not worth a 1st round pick, is Rufus Alexander from Oklahoma. Great sideline to sideline speed.

hes way too small..he measured in @ 227 or 228 @ Senior bowl..uh

Just to set up the board right, we traded our 5th for Gabriel, and we get Seattle's #1 & Arizona's 7th for Gorin. My guess is that we will gain a 3rd (givens), 5th (ashworth), and 6th for Vinitieri as comp picks w/ the other signings zeroing out.

First rd- 2 of the following- A Ross, Woodley, D. Bowe, P. Willis
2- Q. Moses
3- J Wilson
3c- A Rouse/ M Griffin
4- J Marten
5c- J Palmer
6- Z DeOssie
7AZ-
7-
7c-
As it was said, it is a little early before the combine & personal workouts, but these are guys who are on my radar.

Realistic, huh? 3rd Round compensatory draft pick? Sorry but Drew Brees is third round compensatory draft pick material not Givens, Vinatraitor, or Ashworth. At best, the Patriots would receive a fourth round compensatory draft pick for David Givens and that may be wishful thinking in itself.

Yeah, we're not getting a 3rd for Givens. I have hopes for a 4th. Hopefully AdamJT13 will do his projections soon, they're usually pretty close.

Correct me if I'm wrong:

Givens - 5 years/$24 million
Ashworth - 5 years/$13 million
Vinatraitor - 5 years/$12 million

If so, my best guess would be one fifth round compensatory draft pick and two sixth round compensatory draft picks.

Woodley is a 2nd rounder right now... I like him but you don't need to trade anything for him.

Posluszny or Willis will look great in a Pats uniform. Poz has been out of position all 2006 and if you move him inside he should be spectacular from day one. Willis is this years DeMeco Ryans.
