Thursday Night Football: Chiefs at Chargers

Of course the fumble in the EZ was his fault (his & his lousy OL's).
He knew he was being chased; that's why he was running in the first place. At that point in time,
ball security becomes Job 1, and he failed, miserably.

He was in the endzone, trying to avoid a safety. Blaming the QB is nonsensical.

Chiefs first half drives:

First drive - 17 plays, ends in WR fumble after 10 yard pass to SD 23 yard line
Second drive - 9 plays, last 3 are pass complete on 1st down followed by 2 runs. FG kicked
Third drive - 1 play kneel down

Chiefs second half drives:

First drive - run for minus 1 yard, 10 yard pass by Cassel, run for no gain
Second drive, post fumrec - Inc on 1st down, 2 runs follow, missed FG
3rd drive - 9 plays starting at KC 7, Cassel brings Chiefs to SD 28, run for minus yards, false start penalty, Inc, completion for 13, FG made
4th drive - starts on KC 8, penalty for false start, 1 yard run, Cassel sacked when Stephenson completely blows his block and hangs Cassel out to dry
5th drive - starts on KC 20, moves to SD 48, then McCluster fails to catch easy pass, resulting in pick 6

Game's over at that point, and the last drive resulted in a garbage TD. Not one KC drive failed because of the QB in the entire game

All drives failed but you aren't blaming the QB just isnt my standard of good QB plays.
Where are the drives that SUCCEEDED BECAUSE OF HIM.

It seems like we just have different standards here, so are not likely to agree.

Who do you blame for the QB failing to secure the ball?

Eye-opening fact mentioned during the game last night:

Last QB *drafted* by the Chiefs to win a game for them was Todd Blackledge in the mid-late '80s. Same draft class as Tony Eason.

Regards,
Chris

The chiefs are the very worst team in the nil. They duked it out last week and "won" the honor when they lost to Cleveland. The chiefs have not even led at any point in any game (except once in overtime). This ineptitude is pretty remarkable.

on the fumble, i blame cassell and his oline

mostly his oline.....but once he was on the run, he has to bite the bullet and only give up 2

a lot of their turnovers aren't on cassell though , you see all the dropped and tipped passes , and rb fumbles they deal with

i don't think cassell's a very good qb, but he's serviceable, but that team is a huge mess right now, way worse than my own team.

Not even close to his fault.
The fact that the whole SD defense was in the end zone with him wasn't his fault, but he's been fumbling on an awful lot of sacks this year. That is his fault.

That's been basically all that's wrong with him this season though. 90% of his INTs have been balls that should have been catches for KC.

Wow. That's one of those "you couldn't do that for that long if you tried" situations.
