Being a Patriots fan since the 70s, I've always been a "rout for the underdog" kinda guy.... I'd put a "like" on this Jetsenfreude post, but wonder deep inside if I should just start routing for them as underdog...

Naaah.

I believe the word you're looking for is "root for the underdog."
