Don't forget that:

(A) The Pats trade to the Cowboys . . . who take Dez Bryant just before the Ratbirds pick.

(B) The Pats take Aaron Hernandez . . . one spot before the Ratbirds take Dennis Pitta.

Even better.......The jesters moved up 10 places to get in front of the pats........Did they grab Aaron Hernandez or Dennis Pitta?.......Nooooooo,
They went with......JOE "If I'm Not Jukin',I Must Be Pukin'" McKNIGHT.

You cannot make this stuff,up

Sounds like he'll have more reading time.

2012 - Now Ravens big need is a LB. Rumors start to swirl they might make a move for Hightower. We trade up and grab Hightower, Ravens trade out of the 1st.

A whole lot of win in this thread so far Good job men!

Remember when Albert Breer worked at the Globe and he picked Sergio Kindle for the Pats at 22 in the 2010 draft. Yeah, that was pretty funny!

Why I think Kindle fits at 22 - Extra Points - Boston.com

It's easy to make fun of Breer now, but many people wanted Kindle at the time. Will Muschamp, who is well respected, vouched for the kid. Ozzie Newsome, who is one of the better talent evaluators, picked him. Many people also wanted the other 2 DE/OLBs mentioned by Breer in the article, Brandon Graham and Jerry Hughes, neither of whom have done much. Several people also advocated trading up for Derrick Morgan, who also hasn't done much. Those were 4 of the 5 top DEs taken in the 2010 draft, and all have been relative busts. Only Jason Pierre-Paul has turned out to be a stud, and he was viewed by many as the "riskiest" pick of the bunch because he was a JUCO transfer with only 1 year of NCAA experience.

There's a lot of luck involved. We should be grateful that we ended up with Rob Gronkowski and Chandler Jones. The draft is a crapshoot, as Baltimore assistant GM Eric DeCosta has said. There but for the grace of God go we.

I guess Kindle didnt have any FIRE from all reports and like Ocho couldn't READ the damned Playbook....)

I wonder how much he is owed on his rookie deal? Probably too much to be claimed but I don't think we've heard the last of Kindle. He made some mistakes and got pigeonholed in Baltimore to some degree. Kindle not being activated for the last 3 games while their pass rush/D has struggled is worrisome. I'd take a flyer on him as a FA but wouldn't claim him. Many young people grow up later than others, doesn't mean he's got to be a jackass. he wouldn't be the first guy to find his great talent on his second chance.

As I mentioned above, thanks to his rookie-year injury, the Ravens refused to sign him to a long-term deal. I'm virtually certain he's on an ERFA deal where all he's owed is his salary for this year.

So they got rid of their Kindle. Are they changing over to a Nook or some other tablet?

May I suggest Nexus 7, great tablet ! Ozzie can use it at the next draft.
