I wasn't accusing you of saying that. Calm down, Napoleon.

That's funny coming from you, Kontra. The guy with the Ceasar from Gladiator as his avatar.. You know the guy who had a real Napolean complex.

And the way you said it made it sound like you were. Sorry if you weren't.

Has any team played as fast as we played today? It was unreal at times, they line up so fast.

Couple thoughts,

1. Ridley is dominate.
2. Tavon Wilson should be starting over Gregory and is emerging into the DROY conversation.
3. Dennard is going to be are #2 CB by week 16.
4. We don't need Brian Waters.
5. Hernandez returning is going to make this the best offense ever.

Couple questions,

1. Did Dowling play at free safety? If so could this be why he hasn't been playing lately while they were getting him comfortable with a position change?
2. Should Chung be playing the Money position and Wilson be in deep coverage?
3. Is Brady going to throw less then 4 picks this year?

There were times that I wish they had done this MORE in the game. But, on the flip side, there might be a downside of tiring out the O-line faster and leading to breakdowns like we saw in the 4th quarter where, on 3 straight plays, they flat out stunk allowing a TFL and 2 sacks on one series and then 2 series later, they allow the strip sack of Brady..

1) I saw him playing a few different places. CB, as the Up-Safety/LBer, and back at safety.

2) It depends on the coverage called.

3) It would be nice..

Last two weeks the Pats have over a 1000 yards in offense...almost 500 on the ground....no Aaron Hernandez...

Positives:

-Ninkovich finally came to play :rocker:

-Dennard

-The Patriots rendition of Foster/Tate is successful again, this time against a top 10 rushing defense. Ridley was great (minus the fumble), but I don't want him having 28 carries every week. Bolden had an up and down game but closed the game well.

-Welkah

-TFB with another solid game.

Negatives:

-Chung is awful. Not average, awful. He has been riding a reputation from one sick MNF game against the dolphins two years ago. The point of double coverage is to help the damn CB in coverage, he is useless. I would start looking at giving Ebner a shot in his place, or just start Wilson-Gregory.

-Mccourty....sigh

-Moore. I love his playmaking, but at 5'9 4.53 forty, he isn't an NFL caliber athlete at the CB position. Keep him on smaller, slower WRs, but not Demaryius Thomas.

I, for the life of me , cannot understand what BB see's in this secondary. He just wont deviate from the plan. It is what it is I guess. Just too many JAGS. When I read these posts about who should play, who should not,.. The choices are pretty limited. It's a weekly battle of who starts. When do they find personel that play well and stay as starters. It's ever evolving

re: point 4, that ship has sailed, but Waters would have made this line a lot better. Specifically, it would create a major improvement at both LG and at C (Connolly starting there over Wendell). Oh well.

I feel bad for ridley...it wasn't even his fault that time........and bill will still sit him for a half.

It looked to me like he was down before the ball came out, but YMMV. In any event, we won, so...

After losing two games by three points with officiating being a key part of at least one of those losses, I am glad that Ridley's "fumble" did not ultimately have an impact on the outcome of the game.

Is anyone else pumped to have a power running game with Tom Brady as our quarterback? Good times.

The following is precisely the sort of stupid argument that should be a firing offense in any sort of paid writing position:

If this was simply Manning versus Brady, Manning would have prevailed instead of dropping to 4-9 lifetime against New England. Manning completed 31 of 44 passes for 345 yards. He threw three touchdown passes and did not throw an interception. Brady threw for 223 yards with one touchdown.

Denver Broncos have to improve around Peyton Manning - AFC West - ESPN

Congratulations, Bill Williamson, on writing a "big picture" piece without bothering to actually look at the big picture.

The media is so sick of the same ol' Patriot Way working year after year after year after "they hate their coach!!" year...the Broncs have Manning now and everybody KNOWS that Manning is way better than Brady because...well...he's a system QB...no wait...he can't throw the long ball...nope uh...he's a metrosexual with a super model wife...disgusting...and Manning has...uh...funny commercials??

A couple of things here:

1.) The "system QB" argument has now, and forever, been rendered moot. As Belichick has noted, the great Peyton Manning moved from the Colts to the Broncos, and he took his system with him.

Peyton Manning is a system QB.

2.) I don't mind the media playing up the Manning stuff, because I take amusement from reading the nonsense they spout. I do, however, mind when someone is talking about "If it had been Manning v. Brady" while ignoring that if it had been Manning v. Brady, both QBs would have played accordingly. Brady didn't pass for 223 yards because the Broncos were shutting him down. Brady passed for 223 yards because the Patriots were busy running for more than 250 yards. Brady also ran for a TD, making the TD disparity just 3:2.

Manning's stats were inflated and 'better' than Brady's precisely because he was in a position where he had to wing it because the Patriots were the better team and he was way behind. Manning threw for about half a yard more per pass than Brady, but that's it. The main key to the yardage disparity was that he threw 13 more passes.

you delineate exactly what I think about it...I just don't have the patience to explain it anymore...success is measured in results...9-4 head to head...5 Super Bowl appearances to 2...they are both legendary greats now...I just take issue with the national media's slant on the whole subject...and I'm obviously biased.

Jermaine Cunningham: Manning Killer

Two years ago against the Colts, Cunningham hit Manning as he threw the game-ending interception. At the Pro Bowl that year, Belichick asked Reggie Wayne if Cunningham physically altered Manning's throw or if he just made him throw sooner than he wanted. We didn't get an answer.

This year, Cunningham recovered the fumble that ended up being the Broncos' last play.

next time half this board goes off bashing one of the corners perhaps they should wait and see if there's an underlying reason why the opposing QB has so much time to pick out his targets...

How the hell did that not get called?? BS

you mean, how the hell did that not get called....ALL GAME...I was there...and today, the others who attended will say the same thing when they log in....I watched the replay on DVR when I got home and half of what I saw in person is MISSING. I SAW Jones get mugged continually all game...now the photographic evidence is coming out...just wait...it's far worse than THAT one.

Denver had FOUR penalties for 21 yards...ZERO offensive holding calls...spin that all you DB bashers and McCourty haters.

Some people think that wasn't a reason for Flacco's performance against the Patriots.
