Williams -DB
Kettani -FB
Kopa -OT
Tarpinian -LB

I imagine it'll be a QB. . . .

No word on Ebert, though?

We need a quarterback for practice.

Lamanai was suggesting that they'd want a wildcat QB on the scout team to prepare the defense for Tebow.

And I pointed out that you don't need to waste a spot for such a useless task when you have a Swiss Army Edelman on hand.

A QB to develop yes. A QB who you can practice the wildcat? No.

Edelman already practices on the specials teams units (PR, and KR). He practices as a WR. At times he even practices as a nickel back, if there enough injuries. Edelman should NOT be counted on to be our practice quarterback.

didn't they do that with Edelman last season??...or maybe I'm dreaming...

They didn't do that with Edelman, Edelman did that with them.

And after having to battle JE all week our maligned D went out and beclowned Tebow in the playoffs. They were breathing a sigh of relief it wasn't J-Ed.

And yes I am going to find a way to praise Edelman in every thread in celebration of the foolish idea that he was ever in danger of getting cut being stomped into the ground.

Reading comprehension. I was saying you sign a developmental QB to the PS to be the practice QB. You don't add a wildcat QB to practice something you're going to see 20 times all year.

Edelman is the WILDCAT practice QB which shouldn't take too much time out of all his other duties. Amazing all the units this guy was on and he barely made the team. :singing:

I still think Forston to the PS, they will need a roster spot for Waters on Tuesday.

I believe - although I am not certain - that the Pats actually cut down to 52 and left an open roster spot, presumably for Waters.

9 O-lineman now, if you add Waters it would be 10, plus 2 on the PS. I think an OL will be cut if Waters comes back.

With them keeping 6CBs, I am surprised that they signed Williams to the PS.

I am also surprised that Ebert wasn't tapped. Guess he didn't show enough? Or maybe they are sending him a message.

Maybe, the C they signed could be here for a tryout. BB is updating the rolodex to account for injuries going forward.

Wheels within Wheels going on here.

No PS QB YET.....

Ebner made the team. If you're thinking of Ebert, I suppose they don't think he's that good. I don't get what people think they see in him.

People writing Ebner instead of Ebert need to be careful because it can be heart-attack inducing.

I propose to clear up any confusion we now refer to him as Gronkebner.

Yes, I mean Ebert and have corrected my original response.

As for what they see in Ebert, Speed, Cutting ability, willingness to go over the middle despite his size. Good hands and good focus. Just about everything you want in a WR..

Must be why they cut him and didn't sign him to the PS. Sounds like a sure fire hall of famer. Problem was, I saw none of that and neither did anyone else in the preseason.

Not a lot of opportunities due to injuries. We don't really know health of players such as Ebert and McDonald.

Tennant was claimed off waivers.. And he supposedly can play all 3 inside positions, but the Saints wanted him on the PS.. We could see Wendell gone if Tennant is better than him.. Or McDonald could be IRed..

There is so much going on it's hard to speculate..
