Jones is only 20 years old. He's an incredible physical specimen with sky-high potential. You have no basis for suggesting he's a bust other than being a Bills homer. But your perspective is somewhat understandable having supported an entire team that's been a HUGE bust for the past decade.

I thought the number was closer to 30 million (27.5 range)? Has that been adjusted since initially reported?

Jets fans trying to reach and find bad things about our draft so far :singing:

It is funny how bad they are. After years of ridiculing the Pats for trading down, they are now ridiculing them for trading up. Some guys think the Pats blew it because they should have drafted a WR or an o-lineman. Other say the Pats didn't address the Pats two biggest needs - a pass rusher (eventhough every write up I read on both Hightower and Jones say they are good pass rushers) and secondary help (they ridiculed the Pats for drafting a CB last year).

I guess when their team drafted a boom or bust guy like Coples who could be Vernon Gholston 2.0, you might as well tear down the drafts of your competition.

I know you Bills fans are now feeling your oats a bit, because your owner finally cracked open the checkbook and you think your team might be decent for, basically, the first time since 1999. However, it's probably best for you to be a little bit more cautious about talking smack. Maybe after a double digit win season for the first time in more than a dozen years would be the time to start with that.

Hightower, whilst a great player, is simply not needed. I don't buy the talk of him playing as pass rusher - if he was any good as a pass rusher, he'd have played there in College. And it was very very very rare he did. We have our ILB's/MLB, what we need is a linebacker that can cover. I've watched maybe 30 hours of Hightower, and it's as far from his strong point as possible. If we were going to take one of the 'Bama LB's, it should have been Upshaw.

Massive "meh", for me.

+1. Jones was massively overhyped just before the draft.

Hightower has poor agility, so I don't know where this talk of 3-4 OLB is coming from.
