I loved it. For those that don't have the patience to watch all 6 parts and want a more concise version, that's equally inspiring, I have watched this youtube video over and over and over:
Tom Brady Tribute to the Greatest - YouTube
Love the choice in music. He really deserves it. His career truly is that epic. We are watching a living NFL legend in action. Because of his rings, he will be remembered far longer than even guys like Peyton Manning or Marino and even Farve when it's all said and done.
Some need to remember, John Elway went 16 years as a starter after being drafted in 1983 not winning his first super bowl until 1998. He went out on top after winning 2 back to back. If Pats don't make it this year, that's still only a 7 year "drought" for Brady. But unlike Elway, Tom didn't throw costly picks and won his first 3. Elway was 38 years old when he finally won his first super bowl. Tom's 34. Montana won his in a 10 year span, and had 2007 not happened, Tom would probably surpass him. I think that may have affected this Patriots team a bit but Tom seems to be back in full force now. I can't even imagine what it must be like to have a perfect season on your way to the Super Bowl, knowing how much it means to the NFL, and then lose that super bowl.
Kudos to him for never quitting and fighting back from that. I don't think there's too many characters that would have the motivation required to remain on top of your game after what happened. I can't think of another athlete that bounced back as graciously as Brady did. And that super bowl run, may I remind some was a result of this team bouncing back as well, among other drama.
That says just as much about Tom Brady, the Patriots, Bill and this entire organization really. Playing in this playoff game against the Broncos 4 years later says just as much as it would have said had they won that super bowl. I mean wow! He still has the resiliency to be here once again, after all that and after consecutively being one and done in the playoffs. That's tough man. These guys aren't robots. They are human so to have that type of mental strength, it's remarkable.
You know they say you should judge success by the number of times you get back up. Well not only has Tom achieved success, but he's done that part as well. Keeps getting back up. I do hope Tom goes out on top just like Elway whenever he does decide to retire, but he has plenty of life left in him and he's clearly not ready to quit.
