Pats Actives Today: Spikes, Chung In!

Chung, Spikes, Light active for Patriots - New England Patriots Blog - ESPN Boston

I hope one game is enough to get Spikes and Chung back into game shape. Of course we know last year Spikes missed the last 4 games and was was not ready to play during the playoffs.

Light, Vollmer being out are givens.

Thanks for the update. Here is my fear -
After plenty of rest Vollmer and Mankins start in the first playoff game and after the 1st series, we don't see one or the other again because they just weren't good enough to go. It'll put the O-Line in a pickle AND waste playoff roster spots.

That isn't real likely. If they aren't going to be ready, they won't be active.

Somewhat puzzling that he's been inactive the last two games. He was one of the Practice Playeers of the Week last week. That seems to indicate the commitment is there, at least.

I am disappointed though by Kevin Faulk being inactive. I was kind of hoping Pats could get a big lead and he could get a bunch of final carries in what will probably be his last NFL regular season game.

Faulk has gotten his victory lap, have to see how Polite looks as we ready for the playoffs...

I am disappointed though by Kevin Faulk being inactive. I was kind of hoping Pats could get a big lead and he could get a bunch of final carries in what will probably be his last NFL regular season game.

Faulk will probably be better next year because he'll have had a full season post-ACL surgery. Whether he plays, and whether he plays in New England, are separate questions, though.

Brace being out is interesting.

Fred Jackson replaced by the 197 lb. Spiller is the likely reason. They have a pretty good rotation at tackle with Wilfork, Love and Warren.

Brace has been a short yardage guy and just got a practice player of the week...
