Is it me or do you guys think Chung is either out for the year or they are holding him out until the playoffs?

thoughts

dude is made out of glass ... would not surprise me if he is IRed.. Actually I am numb to BB's moves/transactions as well as 3rd down conversions .. ha

I've been telling everyone that will listen that he's going to end up on the IR. Maybe a subconscious reverse-jinx.

I dont think either of your options are accurate.

The guy had a set back. Might the set back wind up with him missing the remaining regular season games? Yes. Might the set back land him on IR? hopefully not but possible.

I recall a report 2 or 3 weeks ago that he said he was all good and I hoped he would play that weeks game. When he didnt I figured it was precautionary to give one more week of healing but when he missed the following game I figured something was up and than he was spotted in the walking boot.

I am hopeful that IR is not needed as BB is usually quick on the IR trigger but I think the set back goes to show there was no plan on stashing him for the playoffs.

This is the only season he has missed so many games, but he is one of those that you just don't think is durable. His measurements don't look small, but he looks small.
I hope they don't spend too much of our draft capital on the offense, saying that, watch the team pick a TE, a Tackle, and a RB.

i dont know whats going to happen to him this year but next year the pats need to pick up more then one safety in FA and the Draft i like Chung but i think the kid needs to be #3 on the depth chart next year

who knows...really like him..but doubt he will be back last 3 weeks

His sitz is comparable to the Fletcher Injury, and there is no sense bringing him back to risk further injury... when he is ready, he will be ready.

Wasn't he seen jumping around in the locker room a week or so ago? Seems like a rest issue. Then again, why was he seen with a walking boot? Hmmmm...cue the conspiracy theories...

With multiple games against backup QBs I figured that Chung and others (McCourty) would be sidelined for rest. That theory kind of went out the window when McCourty came back though.

So I guess any player that gets injured is made of glass. That's helpful.

About as helpful as every thread that isn't about Brady, Gronk, or Welker having player haters show up and trash the player in question some way. So many Pats fans hate this team, I think they should all should become become Jets fans so they can enjoy hating on all these Patriots players.

Honestly we have 0 depth. If a DB is healty enough, its gonna play

Chill out. Chung's a competitor. Get him healthy for playoffs. Did I just say: Playoffs?

I tried that anti-jinx with my man Glass IR Dowling. It did not end well.

I'm not sure why there is so much desire on this board to add a conspiracy theory to everything.
He is injured.
He isn't ready to play yet, at least as of last week.
If he progresses he will play, if he doesn't he will not.
If his recovery reaches the point where it is clear he will not be able to contribute this season, he will be IR'd.
None of the above have reached their conclusion yet.

Yeah, I really don't get it. Is it really so unbelievable that someone is actually hurt or aggrivated an injury and there is nothing more to it?

Many Patriot fans just like to make immediate sweeping conclusions about things with minimal information.

If we get a first-round bye, he has another month to get healthy. Wishing the best for a guy who always plays hard.

I love tough guy posts about how a professional football player is made out of glass. Especially from message board tough guys who have no knowledge of medical reports, doctor's prognoses, X-rays, MRIs, etc. We should believe you tough guys know more than those professional people with access to medical reports, doctor's prognoses, X-rays, MRIs, etc. Hey, we're all frustrated when guys are out longer than we think they should be. But, honestly, you need to do better than that to be taken seriously. Come back when Kindergarten recess is over.

Didn't make the trip to Denver, but made it to the Celtic's game,tonite.....strange
