I had a great time in Washington DC. I was in the same hotel as the Patriots. I saw many Patriots players walking out of the hotel. Sat next to Scott Zolak at breakfast. Saw Fred Kirsh. The people in Washington DC are nice. The fans in DC are ok. Fedex field staff were very nice. The tickets we had were upper deck in row 28. My fiance is afraid of heights and they let us move down to row 2. The trip was a lot of fun. Glad I was able to watch the Patriots win a to close for comfort win!

Sounds like you had a great time ! Glad you were able to meet some Pats too.

Were you down there long enough to see the sites as well or just the game?

Thanks to all the other pats fans who came out yesterday. 50% of the stadium was pats fans and definitely were loud.

The Patriots fans were very audible on TV. Good job by all of you who went.

DC fans are pretty cool for the most part. I was there last year for a Bruins Caps game and there was some good natured trash talk but all in good fun and we went out to a bar next to the Verizon Center afterwards and everyone was cool.

That was just my teeth chattering...

Yes, the Redskins fans were very nice, for the most part. Of course, I had my 5 year old with me and everyone was super nice to him. It was a nice day, except or my irritation at how the team played.

If I was a blind man listening to the TV broadcast, I would have had no idea whether that game was in DC or Foxboro. The Pats fans sounded just as loud as the Skins fans.

Believe me, that's how it felt to be there. I had to wait in line at the damn bathroom during the opening TD of the second half. I heard the roars and honestly could not tell if it meant something good or bad had happened.

DC is an excellent road trip. Too bad we don't play there more often.

A few notes:

Saw many fans at BWI so it looks like many took advantage of the Southwest Airlines direct flights.

If anyone goes to Fedex and takes the Metro. Arrive at the Morgan Blvd stop on the Blue Line buy depart at the line termination station. It's just as easy to walk and a fraction of the crowd at the Morgan station.

For a modern stadium, the "search" line to get in was worse than in Oakland.

The concession stands and the low capacity bathrooms for a stadium built in mid 1990's were ridiculous. The lines were unholy. Who planned that place??? It was worse than Schaeffer Stadium in that respect.

I go to college in DC and I was really disappointed I couldn't make it out to the game yesterday. Damn finals.

Great point shmes

The entrance/exit for the restrooms was odd. I know people in DC do have a high regard for themselves. However, are rest room breaks never expected?

What's up with the entrance exit doors?

Up in the 4XX peasent section......they didn't sell popcorn!!!!!!!!!!!

On a side note, the concession prices were more reasonable than I thought they would be. The $6 soda/cup equivalent in other stadiums would be $7 or $8 dollars.

If you ever wanted to know the life of a Sherpa, get tickets to the nose bleed section at Fedex.

We arrived Saturday afternoon. We only had a chance to see a couple places such as the Washington Monument, World War 2 Memorial, and the Lincoln Memorial. Then Sunday was the game then we left Monday early morning to come back home to CT. We didnt get to see much, but since we didnt drive and took the metro we were some what limited. We walked a good 10 miles in those days we were there. I am very sore, but worth it.

At the game...The Redskins fans were somewhat nice. There was this one Redskins fan who wouldn't stfu. This girl who wouldnt stop talking. I was glad I wasnt in her section because I would of been arguing the whole game!

What section were you in? I was in Section 422 Row 2. We were originally in Section 420, Row 28, but my gf was afraid so they moved us no charge.

I was in 420 row 22.

I had the hot blondes sitting next to me.

Yeah, we WERE high up there.

You should never let school interfere with your education!

...but remember it's DC. They're a little paranoid about venues with lots of people down there. It was probably a lot worse the day before when both Obama and Biden were in the house.

And, yes, in general, Redskins' fans are among the classiest and most knowledgeable in the league.

Yeah, we WERE high up there.

My wife and I went to a game the year the stadium opened. Don't remember the section but it was close to the top. Going up the steps was tiring and going down the steps was frightening. Most vertical stadium I've ever been in.

Had a great time at the game. It honestly felt like 50% Pats fans at the game. Couldn't tell you what the Redskins fans were like cause there were hardly any near me. Although the ones I bumped into pre-game seemed nice enough.
