Taylor Price is a Jaguar

I liked Mincey, but wasn't that an issue where we were expecting to sign him to the PS and he got signed?

No. The issue with Mincey was that he didn't give 100% effort in training camp and was cut. And his reasoning for not giving 100% was that he thought he'd be given a year to learn the defense...

I'd more love to hear Belichick's and Brady's unadulterated comments about his time here.

Belichick did say, today, that he'd have welcomed Price back had he not been claimed. BB usually doesn't say that. BB usually says that he only talks about people on the team.

I said it then, and I'll say it now. They should have done this in the preseason, and kept Levoir, or picked up another o-lineman.
Price did ZERO while he was here.
I ain't always right, but I was dead on with this one, and I'm giving myself a pat on the back.

Interestingly enough the Jaguars have another player the Patriots drafted and cut who has surprisingly made a decent career for himself. Can you guess who?

Jeremy Mincey

Counter Point-
Terrance Wheatley. :D

Now with the Bills.

Does the jags picking him up so quickly mean he wasn't hurt as badly as thought?

They should've kept Tate over Price but they gambled with the "better" athlete. We desperately need a consistent KR and atleast Tate made some plays.

who cares..he sucked

Price is your typical Jaguar...

...always in the shop.

Regards,
Chris

Alternatively, the Patriots could get their scouting of college receivers up to an excellent NFL standard. We could have had Jennings and Wallace, instead we got Jackson and Tate.

It's enough to make you cry when you think the Patriots could have had both of them in the same offense as Welker, Gronkowski and Hernandez.

the funny thing is, Tiquan Underwood was drafted by the Jags...so technically we traded receivers.

who knows, maybe Underwood can help us...hes already got 2 targets and a catch in the 2 games hes played..which is more than price and about what Ocho is giving us!

The four teams to put in claims on Price...Jacksonville, Miami, Tampa Bay and the Jets.

Tough break for the kid. In NJ he could have been a team captain...

Florida LOVES Taylor Price ! All kidding aside, I wish the kid luck. I thought he looked great in that one preseason game this year, and I had hope for him. Taylor, save a spot for Shane Vereen, he should be joining you shortly.

These arguments are garbage. Any of the other NFL teams could have had Tom Brady a number of times. I don't think the Pats are in a position to complain about draft hypotheticals.

They are not garbage, you just don't accept that the Patriots have a problem scouting receivers in college (which the evidence presented in this and multiple other receiver drafting threads confirms).

Go check out every other team's draft history and tell me what team is hitting the jack pot on WR's every year.

How about you do that instead. I don't care what opponent's draft records are like, I care about the Patriots ability to identify talent and then given the opportunity draft those players identified.

The Patriots are an excellent team at building the roster through the draft. Receiver, unfortunately has not been one of the positions they have excelled at. That's not an opinion, that is sheer fact.
