I was going to ask about this. Does anyone see him being able to fulfill a Jermaine Cunningham 3-4 role for us? He's got the size, is a good blitzer and provides obvious excellent cover inside as well - I think he'd be a definite defensive upgrade for us (providing he can play on the outside). And unfortunately, he may be about the only defensive option left for us in the bottom of the first from a 3-4 perspective.
Of those two options, I'd take No2. Actually, just noticed that Rang has Devon Still going no3 to Carolina. I know he's shooting up draft boards but I'm not sure he belongs ahead of Matt Kalil.
Hightower's workouts/combine are going to factor in where he goes. If he runs a 4.9, he's only an ilb. If he can run a 4.7, there are going to some other options. He's a lot thicker than Cunningham. So, from a strength angle. He can do it. Not sure he's got the explosiveness off of the edge to do it. I've been talking about Still all year. That's too high. I feel that if the qb's come out. They're going 1-2-3. Luck-Barkley-RG3. I did a mock like that a couple of weeks ago and had Carolina trading down to like 9 and taking him. I thought that might be a little for Still.
