Agree Andy. But, many of our own fans keep *****ing about not picking a def. player with our initial first rounder. Take Solder off of this team and our OL would be shaky too.

This is one of those weeks Fat Albert must show up. He's here to help against the top teams like SD, and the Jets this week and Dallas next week. Stuff the run and pressure up the middle. Keys to shutting them down. Would be nice if Dowling and Bodden can go too.

Yup, I was one of them. I said we lacked depth, and we downgraded slightly at RT, but I thought we'd still be above average. I don't think anyone (including Pats fans) thought it could be this bad; like bottom 5 in the NFL bad.

It works both ways though. Jets fans have been clamoring before the season that your defense would be worse than last year, and so far it has been. I think you guys will improve, just like our line, but lets call a spade a spade here. We suck.

You can't really blame them. If we keep passing at this rate our QB is gonna be carted off the field in a wheelchair. Check that, he might actually die on the field.

They need to establish some sort of run game. They've done nothing so far. Top 5 the last two years to 3rd from the bottom this year. Its atrocious.

I really thought they were going to knock Sanchez's head off a couple of times last night.

I could have sworn I heard Bill say today that our red zone defense was much improved over what it had been the last couple of seasons... But I guess he's one of those guys who doesn't give a rats ass about yards, just points.

I think some people are living in a fantasy land and don't really remember the D in the super bowls era. Does anyone know what the bend but don't break thingy came from? We have always given up yds, just that back then, Qbs were not as good as they are today. We could just sit there and wait for them to make mistakes.
Yes our D is bad, but if we can stop teams in the red zone, we will not be doing any different from the fantasized defense of years past of BB.

There are more facets of a defense then red zone defense. Btw, you've improved your red zone defense from 56% to 52% .

I was pretty happy with the run d yesterday. Pass D was better as well but they were playing against Jason Campbell. Big Al and hopefully one of Dowling and Bodden will be back for this game.

Yes, we should all believe the Jets will ignore the Pats obvious weakness and run the ball. Can't blame Rex for trying to take some pressure off of Sanchez through the media.
