I'm surprised that no one had mentioned this previously. I know the Pats have the cash/picks to add him. Not sure if he's worth it, though. Especially since he wants a raise. Though, I think that the demand for a raise is because he realizes how bad the Bears are going to be this year...
He doesn't want a trade. He wants a pay raise, and sees a trade as the most likely way of getting that. How often does Bill trade for the guy that wants a big contract?

How can they be bad? They went to the NFCC game last year.
Rex has informed us that this guarantees a SB this year. Please explain how your thoughts don't match up with Rex's.
89 tackles 2 sacks 2 ints and he wants to get more then the 5 or 6 million he will be makeing ? is he crazy, Rob Ninkovich had 62 tackles 4 sacks and 2 INT's im not saying Ninkovich is as good as Briggs but my point is he's not puting up all pro numbers he's not a pass rusher he is going to be 31 and he has made 23 million over the last 3 years, he's out of he's mind if he thinks there is a team that will pay 10 million for a 31 year old OLB that cant rush the QB
First, Briggs isn't getting traded. He has no leverage. He pulled this crap when he did have leverage a few years ago and lost. With three years left on his contract, how is he going to win now?
Second, don't want the guy. He is obviously a "Me" guy who puts his own financial concerns over his team. He is also going to want a new deal for David Harris type of money which is too much for a guy who is 31 years old.
