I'm surprised that no one had mentioned this previously. I know the Pats have the cash/picks to add him. Not sure if he's worth it, though. Especially since he wants a raise. Though, I think that the demand for a raise is because he realizes how bad the Bears are going to be this year...

He doesn't want a trade. He wants a pay raise, and sees a trade as the most likely way of getting that. How often does Bill trade for the guy that wants a big contract?

be funny as all get out if the Bears said "OK!" and traded his butt to someplace like, say... Buffalo.

How can they be bad? They went to the NFCC game last year.
Rex has informed us that this guarantees a SB this year. Please explain how your thoughts don't match up with Rex's.

i possibly would trade for him with spikes... just my opinion...

Front loaded deal, now he is about to make $6M and thinks he deserves more than that. Not a good attribute.

If the Bears hire Josh McDaniels, this might just happen!

this guy is a greedy malcontent.....we dont want him...what a greedy dude

I think he saw the deals the Steelers LBs got and thinks he should be up there.

Dont know, 6m is pretty decent and hardly something to be fighting about.

Is he a +10m player ?

Didn't he get a new contract fairly recently?

Yes.

Its Deja Vu all over again. Briggs made the same threats a few years ago.

Wow, didn't know he made 6 straight pro bowls. I guess it's not that bad of a demand if he thinks the bears will cave again.

89 tackles 2 sacks 2 ints and he wants to get more then the 5 or 6 million he will be makeing ? is he crazy, Rob Ninkovich had 62 tackles 4 sacks and 2 INT's im not saying Ninkovich is as good as Briggs but my point is he's not puting up all pro numbers he's not a pass rusher he is going to be 31 and he has made 23 million over the last 3 years, he's out of he's mind if he thinks there is a team that will pay 10 million for a 31 year old OLB that cant rush the QB

First, Briggs isn't getting traded. He has no leverage. He pulled this crap when he did have leverage a few years ago and lost. With three years left on his contract, how is he going to win now?

Second, don't want the guy. He is obviously a "Me" guy who puts his own financial concerns over his team. He is also going to want a new deal for David Harris type of money which is too much for a guy who is 31 years old.
