Haynesworth & Ellis @ Practice

Awesome news. Now we can get a good look at just how dominant this D-Line can be.

should be a very interesting game coming up....adding those two to THIS DL???...I guess QB pressure won;t be much of a problem this season

Nor will opposing running backs ripping backbreaking runs off the edge of our defense in the regular season and playoffs.

Ellis must be hungry for a SuperBowl and revenge vs. The Jets.

Haynesworth badly wants to redeem his reputation and become one of the best in the league again.

It could get ugly.

Did you forget one of these

I guess this is the day the BB cuts Haynesworth to make an example out of him.

Haynesworth to play against the Lions as anti-Suh protection?

If Suh goes near Brady....Haynesworth is going to get Stafford

How 'bout we actually see Haynesworth lay a finger on a QB before assuming he can do it at will?

They didn't come looking for trouble. Just to do the Super Bowl Shuffle

I hated that lame-@ss song and those 85 Bears. I also hated everything after the 1st quarter of that superbowl.

If Kyle Love etc can do it, I'm almost certain Haynesworth can.

When did Kyle Love hit Qbs at will?
If Kyle Love can do that, this will be low scoring season in NFL history.

Was it Steve Nelson who said that "Down 3-0, the Bears made the greatest comeback in SB history"?

Who said he has to lay a finger on the QB?....... All he has to do is take up 2 guys, along with Wilfork's 2 guys and let other people get after the QB. AH is a guy, when playing for real COMMANDS 2 guys ALWAYS or he will picnic on the backfield (and we know he likes picnics). Ditto for Wilfolk. 4 guys on 2 guys. It's called math.... AH has potential to change the way teams scheme against us, whether he touches the QB or not.

You do realize that there is a limit to the number of players an offense can have on the field at one time right? Funny enough, it corresponds to the number on defense too.

It just makes me feel better that Haynesworth has made it to the walkthroughs...I'm not predicting anything but I feel good about it..:horn:

If Wilfork & Haynesworth can take up 4 blockers on at least HALF the passing plays Andre Carter is going to put up some pretty impressive sack numbers

This 4-3 under has got me, and I'm sure many others very excited about watching the defense this season.

So you figure that teams are going to create a new blocking scheme that has never been used before of dedicating 4 of their 5 OL to block 2 DTs?
How can it be that anyone ever scored a point against a team with Hayneswroth on it?
I just can't believe I missed all of those time last year that the offense had to let other guys run free so they could block Wilfork.

Dude, your knowledge of NFL pass blocking schemes needs some study.

And, btw, the original comment was that if the Lions have the audacity to touch Brady then we will just tell albert to go kill Stafford, as of to assume he can go do it anytime he wants. I mean we have seen him do so much as a Patriot its obvious isnt it?
The guy who layed on the ground and wouldn't get up last year during a play puts on the Pats uniform and is the greatest DL to ever live, right?

Wet. Blanket. I'm going to assume that a guy who won DPOY the last time he played in the 4-3 and was dominant in TC this year will be a productive player. You can assume the opposite if you like, or you can just sit and bemoan the fact that someone is showing enthusiasm, which seems to be your current position. Enjoy!

I do too, but since signing the biggest contract in NFL hisotry 2 years ago, Haynesworth has played 20 games and has 43 tackels and 6.5 sacks.
People on this board talk as if we are going to put him on the field, the other team is going to pee themselves, devote 9 blockers to him and he will get 94 sacks anyway.
I like our chances with or without him. But he isnt Reggie White, Randy White, Bob Lilly and Bruce Smith rolled into one. In fact for 2 years (and a few years in Tenn) he has been about the biggest disappointment in the NFL.

I'm all for enthusiasm, but lets have the guy make a play before we call him the most dominant force that ever existed.
This board has gone wacky. We have people saying G Warren is a force because he made one play, and now Haynesworth will dominate the world and he hasn't even made one.
This is the same guy who was about the worst DT in the NFL last year, or have we forgotten that?
Oh and his last year in a 43 was 2009 and he was widely considered a disappointment.
