There will be a lot of decisions made in the next couple of weeks. We have 2 short weeks of practice and two preseason games to inform these decisions. I suspect that doctor's reports will be at least as important to our decision-making. Personally, the less I see of the starters in preseason games, the better.

1) Who to put on IR
2) Who to put on PUP
3) Who to waive or trade away
4) Who to keep
5) who to acquire (safety? rb? olb? og? ot? c? ster? returner?)

Also, as in past years, I expect that we will pick up a couple of players after the "final" cut. After all, some players will be cut by others that are upgrades for us.
==================

No one has wanted to speak obout the players who might be put on IR (Vareen, Dowling, Wendell) or who might retire (Wright). We also do not know the severity of the injuries to Woodhead and Fletcher.

But TIME IS GETTING SHORT.

I don't type in "sigh" when you start a new thread every time a random thought pops into your head but I could.

Sigh,

Random thought thread.

Deaderick, Brace, Cannon start the year on PUP.

Thanks for this titilating new insight into how the team is run.

You guys are rude!!

Well two weeks until a 53 man roster, but most importantly two weeks until we find out exactly what adjustments the Patriots will make after two deflating playoff losses in a row. It is the same goal every season win the division and win the Superbowl. The Pats have a great shot to raise the Lombardi Trophy, so it should be a great year of football.

So much great depth on our roster, hard to tell who will make it and who will not

As in.....Ken and Barbie doll?

I'm sorry, I don't really understand the reference.

Are you saying that you're thinking about Ken and Barbie dolls?

If so, that's cool.................I guess.................Well,maybe not.....................

Not necessarily something you need to share with us....................................

Whatever floats your boat.

is there really talk that wright may retire?

There have talks that Wright might/should retire since his injury last year. Many of us are surprised that he is playing football this year at all.

Many of us view the situation similar to that of Bruschi. Bruschi decided to play, as did Wright. Now that Wright has been injured again, there are more decisions to be made.

is there really talk that wright may retire?

You and I seem to have different measurements of short. Two weeks until real football is an eternity
Not to mention that a player not ready for game 1 does not have to be given up on for the season.

Actually it will be about 5 months until we see the response in the playoffs.
If you are anxioulsly awaiting someone to prove to you that the dishonor of losing a playoff game has shamed the team into never diong it again, after a 14-2 season, what exactly would you want to see in the regular season for the team to make you happy?

Woe to You Oh Earth and Sea
for the Goodell sends the league with wrath
because he knows the time is short
Let him who have understanding
reckon the number of the league
for it is a human number
its number is fifty-three plus eight on the practice squad
