Who else loves the way he wiggles the left hand fingers before brings the pimp slap?

I dont care wtf he wiggles, if he can consistently rush the qb that way, i havent seen that type of pass rushing on the patriots in a long time, chris slade??

What a stud! If he plays like that during the regular season, look at! What a beast!

He does look like the best edge rusher we have...i'm really interested in what will happen if a healthy in-shape Haynesworth enters the D-line rotation.

He can wiggle his finger all the way to getting himself fit for a new ring in February.

I do. That was a Pro Bowl left tackle he was schooling last night. Folks are right - imagine how that line will look when the likes of Albert and Shaun come into the mix. It could be scary good.

Noticed he held up well against the run on a couple plays. One in particular he drove his man outside and forced the RB to stay inside. I know thats not his strength but was nice to see. Probably the aspect of his game that BB can help him with the most.

that ....all pro left tackle of the bucs looked like he was standing still ...in many first half replays...carter was using him like toilet paper.......boy the D-line are going to have fun.... might as well call them ......them the Patriot Pounding Patrol because those quarterbacks are going to get a beating ....:rocker:

If you play the 4-3 Under (which we seem to be doing), then Carter is the rush end, Haynesworth is his usual 3 technique, Wilfork is a 1 technique nose tackle, and Ellis is a 5 technique.

It seems to fit what everyone does naturally, perfectly.

You then have Cunningham subbing for Carter, Pryor for Haynesworth, Love for Wilfork and Moore for Ellis. Warren and Mike Wright give you flexibility all along the line, and allow you to run a 3-4 if you need to in an emergency.

That was the first time I've ever seen Carter. Amazing! I fell in love with him instantly, and not just because of his Adonis-like physique.

Nice summary, however I suspect that Mike Wright is not gonna play this season. Too bad.

Yeah, I suspect only one of Mike Wright and Gerard Warren make it, given, in this defense, they offer essentially the same thing. You have to imagine that will be Warren given a) playing time so far and b) money owed to Wright.

If you then carry 10 D-Linemen, there's probably then room for Mark Anderson as a situational rush guy on 3rd down.

"I did my best to play fast but still remain humble and still remain hungry," Carter said.

Patriot Way in effect

Drew a holding penalty against the LT on a run as well even though Moore (who also looked very good last night) ran it down from the back-side for a loss.

Anderson is looking like a Rich Man's TBC, Moore looks good. Love was running with the 1's. Pryor is a beast. Hell Warren, G. looked great last night. How do you cut any of these guys?

I'm sure the physique didn't hurt though. Admit it, it moved a little Jerry.

Andre Carter in the 4-3 (2009): 16 starts 11 sacks

Andre Carter in the 3-4 (2010): 5 starts 2.5 sacks, team releases him
Andre Carter in the 4-3 (2011) with Wilfork and Hanyesworth next to him:

I think we rushed the passer more in this game than the whole of last season put together. Fair comment?

Early looks at Carter are very encouraging! He was simply unblockable, and brought a tone of pressure last night.

I know its the preseason, but Carter was the best player on the field last night....
