Patriots - Buccaneers, What to watch for tonight
By: Steve Balestrieri

The New England Patriots are getting ready to play their second pre-season game tonight against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Raymond James Stadium.

Both teams looked impressive last week in their openers. The Pats playing virtually none of their starters on offense, demolished the Jaguars 47-12. The Bucs, picking up where they left off last season, whitewashed the Kansas City Chiefs 25-0.

While the scores are secondary in pre-season, it’s the way that the players perform in their time on the field that is important. That being said, the Bucs present the Patriots a much stiffer test this week. So what are the keys to look for in tonight’s game? Look right here:...

I live in north jersey but....

its a thursday game so I thought it would probably be on NFL network, but I do not see this anywhere

second question is...does anyone know of any good places to go watch it around Paramus, NJ?

Re: anyone know what networks are showing the game?

NFL Network is not showing the game live they are showing a replay starting at 11pm.

Re: anyone know what networks are showing the game?

NFL.com shows it live for $14.99 NFL Online Package - A great deal for those who can't view the games.

This fee lets you watch all the Preseason games live or Archived

I love me some internet! I usually have to work during games so I end up downloading the ad-free version later (not legal per se) and catch up on all the fun. Works out well, think of it like a poor mans tivo.

Who Will You Be Keeping An Eye On Tonight?

For me it's 2 guys:

1. Andre Carter: Reports from camp has been, this guy is making the pats oline look like pop warner players. He has been a man among boys from destroying Light, and Solder to name a few. Hope we see alot of him.

2. Richard Medlin: I been a huge fan of this kid when i seen him play in college. Never did i think he would have a shot to be on my Pats!. So i hope he gets alot of touches tonight and really interested to see if his amazing vision is just as good against NFL players.

I also hope to watch the first stringers get off the field healthy and safe. Of course!:rocker::rocker::rocker::rocker:

Your mom.

Ten chars.

Re: Who Will You Be Keeping An Eye On Tonight?

Carter and Ocho. Carter is going to have a bigger impact on the defense than other DL not named Wilfork, and Ocho will more than any WR, including Welker.

Re: Who Will You Be Keeping An Eye On Tonight?

I want to see who, if any, on the list of injured players participates.

a few things in particular:

the chemistry between brady and ocho

the pass rush from guys like anderson, cunningham, and carter

and how last week's top performers (e.g. price and ridley) are integrated into the packages with the first string offense.

go pats!

Re: Who Will You Be Keeping An Eye On Tonight?

Is there a report of the active players for this game today? So many guys haven't been practicing.
