Would that make you my second cousin? I knew we were related! Hey can I borrow $100 cuz?

But Lofa is my cousin.... by marriage but still. I got to meet Mosi a few times many years back. I have never met Lofa actually. Mosi marrying my aunt is the reason I became a Pats fan. RIP mosi.

I'd take him. Don't know if the pats would bring him in though

Re: Lofa Tatupu is about to be released.

1 - Bruschi was 6'1, 248lbs, Tatupu is 6ft, 250lbs.

2 - With the addition of Haynesworth there is the possibility we'll be playing more 4-3.

3 - He kinda looks like Brushi.

Keep it quiet on #3. We don't want any Patriot "scandals" affecting Training Camp

Re: Lofa Tatupu is about to be released.

Played Linebacker at King Phillip High School in Wrentham, MA.

Re: Lofa Tatupu is about to be released.

Not to sound ignorant, but where exactly would you guys see him playing?
Subbing out with Spikes?

Could he not play outside in a 4-3 and lineup: Mayo-Spikes-Tatupu?

Can't see Spikes playing MLB in a 4-3. You have to run sideline to sideline and have significant coverage responsibilities. Spikes ran what 5.06 forty ?( or something like that ). Mayo is perfect in that spot or even Guyton, more like 4.50 guys.

Spikes is perfect for the Ted Johnson, thumper, 3-4 ILB spot.

Tatupu would be perfect in NE according to Milloy.

Best part of this link is the other Tweet about Todd Heap. It turns out that, as Heap was visiting with the Jets, he reached an agreement with Arizona.

Was Spikes not a MLB in college?

Re: Lofa Tatupu is about to be released.

just came to post the Schefter tweet. Pretty sure I want him.

Yes in college Spikes was a MLB. But Julian Edelman was a Quarterback, Cunningham and Dane Fletcher only played as defensive lineman.

Re: Lofa Tatupu is about to be released.

Good little piece there.

– As the Patriots experiment with a 4-3 look in practice, Brandon Spikes has shined as the middle linebacker. He reads quickly, wades through the trash well and is just hitting guys. I don’t know if we’ll see more of the 4-3, but it does look to fit the personnel, especially if Jerod Mayo goes to Will LB, like he played in 2006 at UT.

It seems like a few media outlets are liking our personnel more for the 4-3. Wish we knew the coaches opinion as it is true that we often practice the 4-3 to start camp and then ultimately move back to the 3-4.

Tatupu would bring back the fire that Bryan Cox provided in SB 36.

He's a Rodney Harrison, Bob Sanders, Troy Polamalu clone.

He may get hurt, like those guys, but it's because he sacrifices it all to make the play.

I'm hoping that BB can fit him in somehow, even on special teams.

Mosi's Mooses are calling. Mr.Kraft, please make it happen.
