Stanley Cup - Boston Bruins vs Vancouver Canucks

I’d rather lose 8-1 than in overtime like they did,” said a surprisingly flippant Henrik Sedin, referring to his team’s Game 2 triumph at the 11-second mark of OT.

...what an a-hole...I hope the players are taking note of just what kind of players play on this team...they do not represent all of Canada I can tell you that...

What was his response to being sat on his arse by Tim Thomas?

convincing victory by the Bruins and now anything can happen and..and how beautiful was Marchand goal ?

I hope the league decides to do nothing about the Rome hit.......

not that retribution is the way to go, but the deliberate nature of the hit and the resulting injury needs to produce some karma.....

this 'aww shucks' attitude of julien needs to go

I imagine they'll suspend him, they dont look good not disciplining Burrows after the fact, it really fired up the B's and was the cause of that mess lat night.
On the other hand if they dont suspend Rome maybe it will fire up the Bruins even more.
Was anyone wondering what was going on with Horton with his arms straight up after he got hit. I heard the wood "fencing response" mentioned this morning and looked it up.

Rome is meeting with the league now, i expect a severe suspension if Bettman is concerned about league image. He cant be happy with the way the game played out last night, if he doesnt do anything the Bruins will take it upon themselves.

Edit: Im hearing a one game suspension for Rome.

He is DONE for the playoffs......

yup, 4 game suspension. Hate losing Horton because he was one of our top performers in the playoffs. The league got it right.

Not much discussion on this angle but I think Horton getting whacked was an order from the bench. The Bruins changed their neutral zone offense to creating a 2v1 on the left side with some of the lines ... The Horton line was doing it and the Canucks said no way. I think the coach ordered the hit and Rome was late getting the hit but decided to do it anyways as it was an order from the bench.

He says he won't tolerate the extra stuff for the media.....but when he's in the locker room he tells them to scare the sh!t outta vancouver....and they did.

Yeah, its s smart move, imagine him on the ice in games 6 or 7 with a one sided score, he'd be a marked man.

count me in as one who thinks the canucks laid out horton on purpose.

That would not surprise me. Alain Vigneault has been a classless POS since before he coached the Canadiens...

He was also the Canadien coach who did the throat slashing motion to Kyle McLaren a few years back...

Batten down the hatches!!

If you can't get fired up over the fact that the Bruins are in the finals, one win away from evening up the series, and retribition (hopefully via total dominance like last game) AND correct me if I am wrong but is not tonight Bobby Orr night, one of the baddest most talented hockey players on the planet that ever laced them up, PLUS he bleeds black and gold...?

You boys better represent down there tonight, fans, players, city....bring it...!

We need to get those green men and paint one of them black and one of them gold.

Nice 5-hole shot by Peverley ... 1-0 Bruins.

the trade that brought him and Kelly here was so HUGE!!!

We have now lost Savard and Horton and we still have a strong team which is amazing.
