Stanley Cup - Boston Bruins vs Vancouver Canucks

That hit on Horton may be the turning point in this series....Let's go Bruins!!!!!!

That's the thing about it, they make it seem like all of Canada is rooting for the Canucks. It's BS, Canadians are hockey fans. Period. It's the NHL playoffs and a lot of them are Bruins fans because of the Original Six connection and the fact that they are one of Montreals' fiercest rivals. Throw in the fact that a lot of fans from Edmonton and Calgary want nothing more than to see the Canucks lose.

A lot of them also hate the Canucks ... it's a Canada thing - they think Canuck fans are Starbucks yuppies.

Shouldn't we be saving some of these goals?

I can tell you the Halifax area is small, 300,000+, and I was walking downtown for lunch the other day and there were a ton of Bruins fans, original 6, just down the road, don't know. A lot of halifax love the Bruins I can tell you that...

Another Halifax Bruins fan here. It seems most of my friends/colleagues are going for Vancouver as they are the only Canadian team in the running, but I agree there certainly are a high number of Bruins fans in Nova Scotia.

I know. I've been there. I always recommend a visit to Halifax to anyone. I dated a girl for a few years that played volleyball at Dalhousie and got to know the area well. Great people and fun times.

Brad Marchands people?

Another recommendation for anyone who has never been here. I moved here three years ago to do my masters at Dalhousie and I am still here. Great sports knowledge and a very friendly city.

It was quite a surprise how much nightlife and fun times can be found there. Great pubs, casinos, night clubs, and downtown.

i have quickly developed a burning hate for the canucks. what a bunch of dirty low life scum bags. if i was at that game tonight i would have been arrested.

Just had a chance to watch the 3rd period on replay. Not much to be said that hasn't already been. Excellent performance by Tim Thomas tonight. The Bruins played with an inspired passion tonight. It was great to see.

Should be interesting to see how the Bruins & Canucks respond in game 4. Would love it heading back to Vancouver 2-2 with a couple of crushing defeats in Boston and hopefully some momentum for the Bruins.

Ditto, my friend.

Their acting is an embarrassment to the game ... their coach should be held accountable and the media is letting him off the hook on this issue.

The hit of the night was by Thomas. The Canucks have made it a point to ram him whenever they get the chance and really it's a good strategy by them that's almost resulted in a lot of goals. Thomas to his credit has been patient and waited his turn but what a great smack down on Sedin who acted like an entitled baby after he tried to exact revenge on Ferrence but came up short in that physical match-up as well.

They made a good point that losing Rome may be more costly than normal because the Canucks already lost a defenseman in game one. This better be more than a one game suspension. It was clearly a player intentionally trying to hurt one of the other team's better players. He leaves his feet in the follow through and it's clearly premeditated.

I have to be content with Old Scotland in the Uk.

Great game by the Bruins. It was great to be comfortable enough in the game to start ruffling their feathers in the 3rd period.

The Canucks seem to be full of snide hockey players, so it was nice to get some hits on them.

Hopefully they crumble, and we havent scored all our goals in 1 game!

Like we said yesterday though - 1 game at a time Bruins :rocker:
