Stanley Cup - Boston Bruins vs Vancouver Canucks

If the B's dont score on this 5 min major...there is no chance in this series...unbelievable how terrible they are

Despite the PP not scoring it actually looked like it had some venom for a change. Luongo made some great saves when the Bruins started setting up and pulling the pin on taking some shots.

Doesn't matter...they need to score tonight or they are going down 0-3

I have never seen a team play better when they arn't on the PP

True but I'd rather see the PP showing signs of life than not at all. Can't blame the Bruins for taking good shots and Luongo making some great saves.

The Garden crowd really needs to get loud.

Not as good as it looks, still only managed 6 shots on a 5-minute PP. Seidenberg along with the rest of the team needed to shoot quicker. He gave Luongo too long to set up. They need to throw everything on the net and be bullies in the slot.

I generally agree with that but it's a catch 22 isn't it? Shoot too quickly and the Canucks can clear the zone and kill off time, shoot too slowly and you allow them to form their defensive kill zone. I was more pleased that the Bruins moved around on the ice and passed the puck about opening up some good shooting lanes.

And as we converse Thomas make a couple of rip snorting saves back to back.

If Rome gets less than the series and the Bruins lose tonight they better show some balls and lay some people out in game four. They continue to get run over tonight. The talk is the Canucks don't respect the Bruins power play or offense which is true. However they don't respect their physicality at all. They hit more all series long and now they pull that dirty crap. Thorton should end one of the Sedin's seasons. I don't promote stuff like that unless it's in retaliation. That was clearly a dirty hit with just the intention of hurting somebody. The Canucks have been all about that all series.

Show some balls.

I am encouraged that we are varying our style going through the neutral zone ... perhaps we get more opportunities from this. Compacting on a side using the give and go - we'll see. bad night to sit Seguin ... let's hope Ryder can step it up with Krecji and Lucic.

Yeah baby. Perhaps this could be that little bit of luck the Bruins need.

Shock horror a power play goal . That was far better movement from the Bruins.

The Canucks are shaken. This is the time to bury them and get some breathing space and much needed belief.

That's what they've been practicing, but the tape-to-tape passing clinic from the corner to the point, across the blue line to the corner and back over and over isn't working. Luongo stays in the net so any rebounds are going to bounce in front which is why they should rotate 2 guys in and out of the slot ready to pounce on the rebounds. Increase confusion and %'s by taking more shots and possible garbage goals.

This has been some second period by the Bruins. They're completely dominating the Canucks.

Watching this game it's clear the Bruins can smell blood. Let's hope this momentum can continue because it's outstanding hockey to watch.
