...I hope you like the snow!

Seriously, how many of these guys have ever played in the snow? Wait ... WHAT?

JUST 1?!? Oops, I guess 2. I missed Mallet's time in MI the first time through.

Whoa. I think some of these guys are in for a bit of a "New England style" rude awakening. I'd bet some of them have never even seen snow. I for one can't wait for their "inauguration day"!!

But let's have a look:

Nate Solder
School: Colorado <- okay, enough said there. Pretty sure you have some snow there, haha

Ras-I Dowling <- we might have a learning curve here
School: Virginia
Prep School: Hargrave Military Academy (Chatham, Va.)
High School: Deep Creek (Chesapeake, Va.)
Born in Chesapeake, Va.

Shane Vereen <- and here
School: California
High School: Valencia (Calif.).
Born in Valencia, Calif.

Stevan Ridley <- ....and here
School: LSU
High School: Trinity Episcopal (Natchez, Miss.)

Ryan Mallett <- here is another with snow legs!
School: Arkansas, started in Michigan
High School: Texas High School (Texarkana, Texas).
Born in Batesville, Ark.

Marcus Cannon <- ....and here's another newbie!
School: TCU
High School: Odessa (Texas)
Born in Odessa, Texas

Lee Smith <- ...and here
School: Marshall
High School: Powell (Tenn.)

Markell Carter <- ....and here
School: Central Arkansas
High School: Bartlesville High School in Oklahoma

Malcolm Williams <- wow....and here
School: TCU
High School: South Grand Prairie (Texas)

I don't imagine Mayo, Wilfork, Warren, Seymour etc. had ever logged any snow time either. The new boys will learn fast.

The adjustment is presumably biggest for QBs, and fortunately Mallett should have plenty of time to adjust.

Yeah I'm sure they will pick it up but that first time is going to be an eye opener for them. However, knowing their lack of experience will add to my enjoyment watching them in it these first times.

I guess I think of it as New England style hazing.

...not to mention that I love any excuse to post snow pics.

I imagine Mallett saw a flurry or two in his time at Ann Arbor.

Damn, you have a SERIOUSLY deep arsenal of Smilies!! :rocker:

I'd beg you to hook me up with your library ~ or wherever you have them laid by...but I don't think the crew would forgive you!!

i hope we get snow in every playoff game.

First, Lee Smith has seen a fair amount of snow at MU in WV. Though I cant recall a recent game in the snow, I remember a MAC Championsip in Huntington during the Moss years that was held during a pretty serious snowfall. Second, I didnt realize Cannon was from Odessa, TX, the setting of the original non-fiction novel Friday Night Lights. He definitely comes from a football town.

Go to Ft. Lauderdale in late August west of 95 and run a lap. Then imagine lacing 'em up and popping a hat on and playing ball. It's fun saying that cold is tough, but when it's cold you can't get tired. That South Florida heat is much worse than any cold our climate can dish out. I'd much rather play in the 2003 playoff game vs Tennessee than a week 2 in Miami in that humid ass swamp.

As a distance runner who spent a week in Florida this April, I completely agree. Nothing like a few 8 mile runs in 88 degrees and 100% humidity

Oh yeah, I'll take -7 over 98 any day.....why did I move to Florida?

All that humidity does is that it makes your fat guys lose weight. So that's not good.

And cold weather seems to favor cold weather teams far more than the heat does for the warm weather teams.
