WOW kid looks fast and can catch the ball in screens!! great pick

He was the best player in this draft for what the Pats need. Homerun back who can contribute both in zone and directional blocking.

Did anyone else get a GRONK when we drafted Vereen?

are you frickin kidding me. we pass up an every down stud back in leshore and take that stiff vereen

I just went from 6 to midnight.

I tell you what... this draft from the pats is going to be very scrutinised because of the picks taken after us.

Solder... then a run on OT's

Dowling then Willians

Vareen then the back from Illinoise.

I can see the trolls and glass half empty's right now on this site just marking down the careers of each and ready to jump on any better career by these guys.

#64 ~ RB Shane Vereen ~ 5.10/210

Shane Vereen commands an explosive blend of Burst, Fluidity, Lateral Agility, and sudden Lateral Velocity.

He boasts exceptional Diagnostic Skills, Processing Speed, and Vision, working with his Line to set up Blocks.

And he commands frightening Verticity: the ability to explode out of his Breaks.

In a word: dangerous physical skills and the brains to apply them with deadly force.

third down back!!!! THANK GOD we can get rid of the Woodhead guy now, he was really a problem last year. Another huge reach, am I the only one sitting here going HUH?

He's multipurpose and brings a different style than Woodhead and BJGE. Its a good pick IMO. He's replacing Taylor or Morris in the RBBC (running back by committee).

Huh? He's a THREE-down back -- a guy who can run inside and outside and catch the ball, and excellent in pass protection. Maybe not the flash "home run threat," but good enough at everything that, finally, the RB in the game won't limit the playbook or tip off the defense.

I know the team has yet to address the pass rush, but I like the value both second round picks represent. A big, physical corner who could team opposite McCourty and a well-rounded, explosive running back to add to the depth chart with BJGE and Woodhead.

That is a FACT, ladies and gentlemen!! :rocker:

He seems similar to DeAngelo Williams.

So the second round is where you go to get your 5th CB and your back-up third down back??????

As long as they get a pass rusher at 60 I'm good.

Dowling looks like cromartie on highlights

Pricksto gave the Mikel pick a C- ... :p
