I hope New England decides to keep the thirty-third pick because there could be good value there such as Christian Ballard.
Christian Ballard is a 3rd round prospect. Early 2nd would be quite the reach.
In any case I think trading down from 28 is tempting because a lot of the talent available there looks the same as what would be available in the early 2nd. Particularly if you can get a bounty for a QB prospect that falls towards the end of the round.
As for the article that you quoted. 99.999% chance that will NEVER HAPPEN. Pats won't trade their two 1sts for the #1 overall pick. The contract costs are prohibitive and the risks are doubled. All eggs in one basket. Don't see value there. That's not how BB operates.
