I don't think he's willing to take only 1M to play. So that hypothetical questin doesn't work for me. If we got the 'good Randy Moss' of course he's worth at least 1M, hell he'd be worth far more than that. But when you get the 'bad Randy Moss' he's not even worth that much as far as team chemistry and demanding the ball being forced tohim.
"Good Randy" and "Bad Randy" used to refer to his attitude. Today it refers to his skill one being what he was and the other being what he is now.
Seriously, we had him on the team and basically cut him. Yes we got a pick, but that pick was worth nowhere in the vicinity of what Moss was worth before his skills evaporated.

Yes (if his knees are OK) but keep him on a short leash and don't expect him to last the whole season.

The Jets fiasco demonstrated that the Felger approach does not work; the Patriots need a legit deep threat.

The best part of getting him back would be listening to Felger losing his mind....

The Patriots have lost three straight in the playoffs. Randy was on two of those three. He's not the missing link, least of all in the playoffs. Or against the JETS. And we lost to the JETS once this year with Randy before kicking their ass AFTER Randy was long gone.

Randy Moss would be Adalius Thomas 2009 all over again

$1M for a decoy....you would have to be ******ed....In reality I don't know how much of a decoy he is anymore,at this point in his career I really feel Cornerbacks don't fear his presence anymore much like they didn't fear Jerry Rice when he went to seattle in his waning years.

I said "no," but Mr. "simple question" is just asking for meaningless reactions by not talking about under what circumstances.

If the Pats walk up to Randy with $1M, it's an insult -- regardless of what warmth he's expressed while playing for other teams.

If he walks up to the Pats and says, "look, I got into the money trap and the ego trap - I'll work my butt off at a low price. I'm rich enough"...

Well then bring him in, make him compete in camp, the whole nine. And no guaranteed spot - he has to focus. He has to catch what's thrown his way. He has to demonstrate the mentality for yet another comeback.

Even talking about these circumstances virtually pre-supposes firing his agent -- ANY agent. I mean, he can get more than that from virtually any team short on receivers. If he wanted to come to the Pats to "start over," I don't care if he gives 200K of his 1M to an agent, but an agent doesn't want to handle that client, and the client can get that deal sans agent.

If his head's right, Randy may still be capable of being an impact player (not a decoy,) but he needs to find a place where that can happen. And he needs to not only not be "me-first," which he can handle in doses, but he needs to realize he's on the back 9.

In all likelihood he needs to find that place outside Foxborough.

I voted no. I think Randy's time is past. Thanks for the memories Randy, but "thanks but no thanks."

I'm with Deb ... time to move on.
If we had a number one to draw the coverage I might think about it.
Randy Moss in single coverage would be lethal ... but we do not have that caliber receiver here.

Moss should market himself to teams where he can draw more single coverage.

As much as i loved Moss. I think they are better off without him. Still love him as an athlete. A complete freak.

The Pats do need another tall physical receiver.

For $1M, why not? If they think he still has enough left to justify the salary, then might as well. They do need a deep threat. If they think he has nothing left at all, then that's another story.

I know this off topic, but man you are obsessed with Felger.

What's so ******ed about paying a decoy $1M? If someone can draw double coverage and you only pay him that much, then that's a downright steal. Also, if I read what you're saying right, you're basically claiming that since he isn't s good as late-career Jerry Rice, he isn't worth one million? And disagreeing makes other people ******ed? Wow.

I'd rather have TO at this point.

The Pats need a better WR than Moss. Randy is cooked. He didn't play well for any NFL team this year and was horrible when he was away from Tom.

The Pats need a bona fide Number 1-3 WR to add to Branch and Welker. Randy is no longer that.

All a moot point eh? BB would never take him back...

Yes another moss post to funny.

No, ever ever ever ever ever ever.

Quit like a dog, peace Randy
