We win 38-7 and the morons come out of the wood work
1. Hes covering one of the best WR's in the game a guy who is 6 inches taller ways 230 lbs and runs like a gazzel
2. I didn't see Butler push anyone in the back on that play.
3 On the TD the ball was thrown perfectly, i can't fault Butler on that one.
It's amazing. Butler has made multiple plays, including today, over several weeks, hasn't been burned in weeks though he logs 30 snaps a week, he makes one bad play... and the haters come out of the woodwork.
Funny stuff.
I premised my post by saying he's been solid for a couple of weeks but definitely took a step back
I posted on this thread last week because I was telling people that Butler was making plays and getting burned and that people on this board are like yo-yos when it comes to players. You have haters like the guy posting just above who don't know the first thing about football. Go to a game, watch the CBs play, and you get a good sense of what they can and can't do. Butler's play was no different today than any other day. He made several plays on both Marshall and Bess. He got beat by Marshall once, and I don't know what the guy above is talking about, but on the PI he was clearly not burned. I can't understand why someone is claiming that.
Read my posts on Butler from previous weeks when I got to watch him live and got a real sense for what he can do.
I'll say this: the haters will NEVER say a bad thing about the other CBs who give up a pass. Butler's % is somehow supposed to be 100% like no receiver should ever catch a pass against him.

I think all he needs to do is learn how to play the ball. He'll be right in their grill and they'll catch it anyway...all he has to do is learn to run with his head turned to the ball.
the play where he let marshall catch the ball and then didn't want to tackle him and let him get an extra 30 yards...that was pathetic. He doesn't seem to be a very physical guy.
If they draft another CB, I hope they look at ball skills and tackling ability and not just "athletic ability".
Butler has improved his level of play tremendously in the past few games. For mine, the PI was a Colts PI call.. meaning it was bogus. It's amazing. I dont take Butler Jock Sniffers seriously.

Hmm well there you go. You never know what you'll find in the history of a Turkish mastermind gangster.Butler has greatly improved from the disaster in week 2. His technique still irks me though, especially as a former CB/SS. He just doesnt look for the ball as much as he should. I often see him trailing the WR and not looking when he does.
Give some props to Corwin Brown the ex-Pat d-back, who's now the d-back coach.
I remember him as a pretty good player.
He went on to coach at Notre Dame, and I think he's the main reason we have Sergio Brown from Notre Dame, who's made some good plays.
