WEEI reporting he has been suspended for the remainder of the season and fined $25K.

Cover up. This was a set up by the Jets higher ups. That lineup was planned to "get in his way"

Yeah. I heard Sal Alosi's "I'm sorry" speech. Rex says "he manned up"..

No, he apologized AFTER he was caught on TV and identified.

He should have been fired.

They can’t fire him or he would spill the beans. Yea they suspended him with a nice Christmas bonus to make it worth his while. They had 6 of them lined up man to man to "get in the way" if he went out of bounds again. This was a premeditated plan from higher up in the Jest organization. The NFL needs to investigate this and talk to every man on that line. This is a total cover up.

I just checked out the video again and whooooaaaaaaaa!!!!!!

Watch the CBS youtube video.

Rex Ryan is standing just to the left and BEHIND of the 5 man gauntlet - - he was right there! (at the 0:27-29 mark and the 0:45-47, the green vest, white sleeves and green hat - that's him!).

He HAD to at least know what was happening with that gauntlet and was close enough to it to have ordered it. Why the hell would he allow them to stand in front of his line of vision if he hadn't at least ok'ed the gauntlet strategy?

6 man not 5 man. Watch the video again. In the still, the man on the far right isnt shown but he is there. 6 men in a row to mess him up. Rx is 6 feet away from the last man. Yea, he set this up. See at 27 on the utube video. Rex is looking right at it while the ball is on the other end of the field!!!!!!!

I think we have something here.........

They have 6 men here to get in the way. You can see Rex 6 feet away and slightly behind. Is he looking at the ball which was kicked to the other end of the field? No he is watching his guys about to take out the Miami player out of bounds.

Nice find there shmessy.

Another thing I noticed rewatching that video is that was the only area that any Jet personnel were that close to the sidelines. Watch the video again and you'll see past that gauntlet nearly everybody on the Jets sideline is much further back. I don't think it is a coincidence; I think they knew exactly where the Jets players would be trying to push the gunner out of bounds.

Also compare how the people on the sideline react at the end of the punt return, to the way the Jets personnel reacted to Carroll running down the sideline. When the Miami player was running down the sideline every one of those five guys firmly held their ground - but when the punt returner and the player chasing him out of bounds approached the sideline everybody was instinctively moving backwards and laterally to get out of the way, well before the players went out of bounds.

So what we have is one group of people standing shoulder to shoulder, not budging, in front of their HC - and the rest of the people on the sideline are all spread out, further back, and moving to make sure they stay out of the way of any players on the field.

Sure, it's just a coincidence.

That is the SMOKING GUN right there!

After the game, to the press, he said he didn't know anything about what they were asking him - - then was appraised of the situation by the Jets PR guy.

This shows without any doubt that he was right there and looking at the situation (not even looking at the ball in play). His alibi is exposed in that still and the video in living color.

This NEEDS to be looked at by the league.

I've got a feeling that, like the Favre-Sterger thing, this is going to be swept under the carpet; dragged out for so long that people will forget about it.

I really hope I'm wrong. I really do, but I don't think so.

This sounds like the warren cmmision report.

CBS has given us all the Zapruder film!

All kidding aside - - it's right there on the video - -

1) Rex is standing right next to the end of that line
2) he is behind the line - - what HC allows assistants to stand in front and in his line of vision during a play?
3) Rex is definitely focusing not on the ball, but DIRECTLY on Nolan Carroll.
4) When Carroll is writhing on the ground, Rex walks over and stands over him (far left of the camera shot while Carroll is on the ground after the play).
5) After all that, Rex claims not to know anything about what the media is asking him after the game about it - - as if he never saw it.

I know I know, all those guys standing in a line right on the line looks to obvious, something was going on and IMO those six didn't just come up with it on their own. It seems like something Rex would do, i don't know why i think that but i do. Just like in the first game against the jests Lenard i think it was hit Welker in the Jar with an elbow, that was no accident. This is right out of the movie The Longest Yard, the first one, not that crap remake.

At first I was thinking you may have something but ...

1. Rex is looking towards scrimmage line, towards the punter. As soon as ball is
snapped guys are racing down the field but he is still looking for the punt
to happen. Why wouldn't he? Suppose it was fumbled? He is looking at
where the ball is.

2. When Rex said he didn't see it happen he was probably right. There
were 6 guys between him and the incident obscuring a direct line of
sight to where the incident happened.

I HATE the Jets .. but I don't buy this conspiracy theory .

He, rex doesn't need to be looking or watching the people on the sideline,
Remember, Humpty Dumpty Was Pushed.

Why do you think he is watching the side line. Why not looking over his
guys on the sideline to try and see the punter? Could you see his eye balls?
