My friends, I am a Jets fan and you should understand the following:

1. The Jets were very lucky to win today---they were ready to self-destruct
2. The Jets are not as good as the hype. Only true great one on the Jets is Revis--he is the real thing. Shut down the Megatron today.
3. Your coaching staff is so much better then ours. Rex Ryan is a horrible game manager, and our offensive coordinator is the product of nepotism.
4 Sanchez (who I call Jr.) will never be a great one.

You see, there are fans that express great humiliation by the performance of their "beloved" teams, and jump off ships, go watch other sports, stop cheering.

There are the other kind of fans that cheers and screams their asses off for every play of every game despite a losing season.

I as well as many other "True" Jets fans will not show humility because our franchise hasn't been as successful as we'd have liked. Humility leads to abandonment, and that's taking the easy way out.

This is what many Patriots fans do, believe it or not.

There are many real pats fans around that have endured through all the tough times, but the majority of you young kids don't know what it is to be a true fan of your own teams.

I can judge for myself, and it's only rational to judge others based on my level of fandom. I have endured through many many ****ful years, watched every snap of every game of my Jets. There are many fans who are way more devoted than I am, but it speaks volume when I haven't seen nearly as much people wearing around Patriots gears around in the streets of Manhattan as there used to be.

I'm sure anyone can call themselves a "true" fan but look into the mirror and judge for yourself.

I will answer your question. I don't agree with your assessment of his post. I think if you read it more carefully you will find that he is simply a realistic fan that isn't drinking the kool-aid. He takes the Jets and supports them for what they are, not what they aren't. He doesn't profess things he doesn't actually see. I don't think that makes anyone less of a fan. In my mind, it makes them a better fan and a better person. He sees and admits the faults of his own team and still continues to support them regardless of any fault he may find.

He takes the Jets and supports them for what they are, not what they aren't. He doesn't profess things he doesn't actually see. I don't think that makes anyone less of a fan.
