this was a poor all around effort from offense defense special teams and coaching... i dont want to hear about best record... the jets have beat us we should have beat Cleveland that was a piss poor performence all around from Belichick to Brady to the that emerging defense...

Hey 6-2 is a great record!

Jets/tiebreaker story is:

If the Pats beat the Jets -- umm, I doubt anybody has done a reliable calculation yet. It could be the reverse of the situation if the Jets beat the Pats, or it could be that the Jets just need to make up a single game elsewhere.

Being we are tied with wins...if all else stays even....if we beat the Jets we will have one more win than them.

So good, it needed to be quoted twice.

We lost 1 game on this given Sunday. Lets not lose our minds.

True, but the toughest part of the schedule is coming. Let's just hope they had an off day.

People are losing their minds because this game was huge....they know that we needed this win and bad...and now going to Pitt and vs Indy and Det...they are lucky to go 1-2 in those games

I know. I'd just prefer to be happy about what we have than regretful of what we don't.

This is technically a rebuilding year with truckloads of rookies. We shouldn't even be in the mix. I think we've lost sight of that a little.

We are rebuilding yet u see some guys that are playing awful.Mayo had a horrible game!!Lets see what the excuse will be come next year with some players under their belts.Spikes also have a bad game.

Yeah 6-2 is the same record we had last year after eight games... if we beat pitt indy and detroit then its different.. but right now we lost to a innferior opponent who out coached out played and out performed us....

My friends, I am a Jets fan and you should understand the following:

1. The Jets were very lucky to win today---they were ready to self-destruct
2. The Jets are not as good as the hype. Only true great one on the Jets is Revis--he is the real thing. Shut down the Megatron today.
3. Your coaching staff is so much better then ours. Rex Ryan is a horrible game manager, and our offensive coordinator is the product of nepotism.
4 Sanchez (who I call Jr.) will never be a great one.

So don't be so upset. This race will go down to the wire. Nice to meet you all.

My friend, you are more sensible than most of the people on this forum. And after a Jets win. Kudos

There are no truly great teams in the NFL this season.

I think you guys have a good football team, but nice to meet you. Hope you stick around. You're definitely a step up from a lot of the so-called Pats fans that have reared their heads today.

A level-headed, rational Jets fan??? What next? Unicorns???

The Jets can't be as good as the hype; no one could. The hype built up over the summer was insane. But they've done well. They've been lucky at times (as have we), but good teams take advantage of their opportunities, and the Jets have. It's been a really interesting season so far and looking forward to the second half.

And welcome to the forum BTW.

1. Browns beat Jets (@ Cleveland)
2. Patriots beat Steelers (@ Pittsburgh)

And the Patriots will once again be the #1 seed in the AFC next week.

I don't know Pessimistic Pete, this optimism thing didn't work out so well last time...

My posts have nothing to do with what actually happens on the field.

But if you makes you feel better I don't think either of those two things will happen, actually. Was just pointing out that only two things need to happen for us to be back @ the #1 spot.

I think the Jets are just going to dominate the Browns, this is coming from someone who thought the Lions would beat them today. They will NOT let Hillis beat them and will proceed to feast on McCoy. Won't even be a close game. Lions actually have a lot of talent on offense, the Browns don't.

I have no god damn idea how we could ever beat the Steelers in Pittsburgh. We don't have a running game and our passing game is very, very inconsistent. They will run all over us and let Ben make the few big passes when he needs to.
